Default Why combine Z06 and ZR1 ?

I must have missed it but what was the motivation for combining the Z06 and ZR1 threads ? Are you going to do this with the C7 sections when the ZR1 is here ? I find it very taxing to scroll through the topics and then have to check if its related to Z06 or ZR1.

Very taxing? To scroll through some extra threads? Most of which have [ZR1] or [Z06] neatly labeled in front of them? Are you serious with this?

Anyhow, the ZR1 forum had slowed down considerably and was riddled with mostly vendor posts. So they combined the Z06 and ZR1 forums to keep things active. A few of the ZR1 guys don't like it as they enjoyed the exclusivity. But not a big deal. They did screw up the search function though for us Z06 guys.

Sorry for having an opinion. Maybe you would like it if they also added C6 General and C6 Performance to the combination since you don't mind checking which car it applies to? Your explanation is also weak. The effort to move everything was not worth it and they should have left it alone to be consistent with other sections. Note that C5 still has C5 General and C5 Z06 separated.

It isn't "my" explanation. It is the forum owners and administrators explanation. I don't run this forum. Do you understand this simple thing?

And if one section slowed down to a literal crawl and was filled with nothing but vendor posts then yes I would expect it to be consolidated. Simple stuff for simple minds to comprehend.

Furthermore, your alternative examples are straw man arguments. They didn't combine the C6 General and C6 Tech/Performance. So why are you using this analogy? And the C5 did not have a ZR1 forum to slow down. The C5 General and C5Z forums are still busy as they made many of those cars. Again, a straw man logical fallacy.

Fact is that they combined the C6 ZR1 and C6Z06 forums. If you don't like it then there is a "Feedback" section to air your complaint. You understand?

This is my biggest gripe about it...not that the search was great to begin with, but it certainly made it worse.

Did you skip your meds today ? You sound like a real piece of work with all your insults when someone posts a simple question. Anger management classes are in your future. Maybe you should read the rules about being on this forum and how to treat people nicely. Simple stuff for simple minds.

I gave you the answer and gave you the proper mechanism to air your grievance. The fact that you don't like the answer and refuse to follow the procedure (rules) to file a complaint about forum organization says nothing about me and more about you.

Check your attitude pal. Your are insulting and it truly is not necessary. If you don't see it you have a far bigger problem.

I'm actually in a pretty good mood today. It finally didn't rain a monsoon so both Vettes are out of the stable for some shake down runs before this weekend's track events.

Yes, you missed it.

Will there be a similar merger in C7 when a ZR1 is produced? The crystal ball isn't clear on that at the moment. We'll deal with any issues in other sections as they arise.

We are aware there are issues with the search function as it relates to C6 Z06 threads. The IB tech team reports it is an indexing issue and something they can fix. If any of you can provide a link to a C6 Z06 thread you know exists but does not show up in a search, please PM the link to me so I can use the link to help determine whether the problem has been addressed.

Meanwhile, I've closed this thread. We are best able to address complaints, questions and suggestions via PMs:

The thread also has degenerated into a pissin' match. Some of you could benefit from a review of the rules regarding hostile posting/personal attacks:
