GS Brakes Calipers on a Z06
Hey everyone, new member here. Been lurking for several months, just reading posts and such. Looking to gain as much information as possible regarding my 06 Z06. But now I have a question that I can't seem to find an answer.
Anyway, obviously my Z has red calipers, but is it possible to take yellow calipers from a 2011 or later GS as a direct swap? I have some black wheels on order and would like to try and replace the calipers with yellow ones when I get my new wheels.
Any information anyone can provide would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks again!
Taz

Consider powder coating, results are usually outstanding & durable.
Cost's minimal compared to new calipers.
There's Dupli-Color or like-kits for DIY types, many colors including VY.
FWIW used DC on my VR '06, after thoroughly cleaning calipers paint went on easily.
Not quite PC quality per se, but very acceptable.
For the $ really can't be beat, takes 2-3 hours to do all 4.

TPS Motorsports sells rebuilt powder-coated calipers in just about any color you'd want. I'd always do powder-coat over paint.

Never tracked my '06, only casual driving but at the time of trade @ 18K calipers still looked fresh w/ no chips etc.
I did carefully apply 2 coats of D-C, FWIW.
But tracking's hard on many components & I'd guess calipers take a major beating; so, your experience isn't surprising to hear.
OTOH for tracking powder coating would be best choice, knowing ahead of time what they'd have to withstand.
