Default E85 Injectors

Any of you guys running E85 using LS9/LSA injectors? I know the general consensus is ID850's but I just can't justify the cost of them...

Depends on your power level. They won't flow enough on e85 to make much passed 575ish whp without being close to maxed out.

I generally use a 60 lb injector for N/A E85 LS7s. They flow enough to make 650whp without an issue using a Walbro E85 450lph pump. 850cc work too but are more then is needed NA

I guess I should have put that in my post lol. I'm 575/530 on 93 now. Stock injectors are about 80-85% right now.

My car has Bosch 52lbs injectors. Running E85 and made 624 rwhp. Everyone says they are to small but my tuner who is well known said they would be fine. Dyno day he said there was no issues.

Duestchwerks 65lb injectors. Got mine for under $400 brand new and they should be good for well over 650 at the wheels on e85

So I may be okay with LS9 injectors then, I doubt I will crack the 600whp mark. When my tuner and I talked about it, he said that he thinksg he can get another 7-8* of timing in it with e85 so I should see a decent result.

Did you get yours from the group buy they have on the forum right now or order from them direct? If I end up needing something other than LS9's I have used their injectors in the past and had no complaints with them, so I wouldn't hesitate to run them again. Especially at that price point!

Ran their 1200cc versions on my turbo 04 cobra also with no issues.

No.

The spray angle is off and on top of that the above post was referring to a 52Lb injector at 3 bar of pressure which flows more like 60lb in an LS fuel system at 4bar.

Wasn't there a thread a while back about the "Bent angle boogyman" and clocking the injectors a bit to reduce the angle? Then again there may not have been any truth to that.

You literally can't be ID injectors. I was very reluctant to go this route based off of cost, but had used other brand injectors in the past and driveability suffered thereby. I have a gigantic NA cam and the car has fantastic idle and off throttle manners with ID850s on 93 and e85 as compared to LS9 injectors previously with a smaller cam.

Another good rule of thumb is to size your injectors close to your needs - too big is such a thing when it comes to injectors. ID1050s on an NA setup is way overkill and only complicates things at low fuel demand, even with e85 or e98.

I think ID has stopped making anything smaller than the 1050, which is a shame. The 1050x is supposed to replace the 725, 850, and 1000, but I have no experience with it. Seems like a lot of injector for anything less than a max effort NA motor.

I agree that the ID's are the best out there, I just cant justify the $1k for some 1050's and I think they are way too much injector for what I need. The reason I was thinking LS9 is for the ease of tuning them, and they should flow close to what I will need.

Yeah I think you are right about them not making anything smaller anymore.
