its close, we checked the heads and changed the valve springs and push rods, all was good.
just a few small details to finish up and it will be ready, maybe tomorrow, all depends if we feel like working not he holiday.

FWIW I did some extensive trunk tank testing on my ctsv and found very little benefit to the tank - just a faster pump made all the difference. Obviously icing is the primary benefit - but 10 additional gallons of water was negligible over the underhood system when the capacity was the only variable.

a little closer, looking good for the weekend if all goes good.
my buddy decided to make a new intake, we both weren't to happy with the fitment of the synergy intake, also not to happy that it cost a fortune and is made of steel... so he fabbed up this replacement made of from aluminum, its much lighter and fits much better.

99 is gone, I ended up parting the car out. Twins are definitely the way to go on that car, should be a blast.
once it's done we can go for a cruis or something, I have a few friends that want to get together once my car is back on the road.
Sounds good. My buddy building the intakes/car is also my tuner.

haven't updated this in a while, went down to florida for a couple weeks to turn the lights back on
car is up and running. my tuner is having issues with the TPIS throttle body so i will be ordering a NW boosted version to replace it. seems the blade/body of the TPIS isn't perfect and is allowing to much airflow at the wrong times.
one thing is for curtain tho, is the new cooling setup is working perfectly. here is a pic of the car at idle with NO ICE.

some more pics. car is back home. just needs the tune finished but i wanted to get it out of his shop and start doing the other small mods. only thing left he needs to make is the mounting bracket for the Y block. its not really needed but id like it on there just to make it look finished.
i installed my CF mirrors today and some more tuning will come tonight. we may not need a new TB, time will tell.
he made the fuel line and it works with the stock line. came out perfect.

Beautiful car! I love the matching Raptor as well.
What part of Vernon? I'm right down the road from Lake Street School.

Looks great! I like the wheels on it. I also like the fact you can run the blower cover with the aftermarket IC hoses.
Your "home made" CAI looks 10x better then the synergy units for sure...
My buddy has the twin to your car, so I get to dabble a little with a ZR1 myself.
His also had the melted brick with coolant and metal everywhere. His is a CAI, LPE snout, 2.6 upper, 2" ARH headers/X pipe, Corsa Cat back. He also has the D3 cooling stuff..... It makes right at 600 rwhp on 93. He is trying to hold back on modding it more, he came from a 900 rwhp 5.0 mustang that stayed broken so..... He is following my lead and just cruising/doing appearance stuff.
