[Z06] C6 z06 or c7 stingray which to buy
#21
If it's a car he plans to drive every day then he must go with the C7 without a doubt but in no way would a plain Jane Stingray be something I would be proud of to have as a garage queen. It just doesn't carry the same clout as a C6Z and neither does the new C7Z in my book. The C7Z just doesn't seem to be so far ahead of it's era in performance compared to the C6Z was in it's hay day. The C6Z bone stock was hurting exotics and hurting them bad.. The C6Z just has so much history which is why I bought it over a C7Z, 997 Turbo and R35 GT-R. I have been a Mustang guy for decades but for some reason the C6Z and it's clean lines just pulls me in... I thought my 94 turbo Supra would have been my most favorite car to ever own but I must admit at this point I think the C6Z has my heart..

I know I am new to this forum and new to owning a C6 Z06 but I have had several LS1 Camaros and Firebirds over the years including a brand new 35th Camaro SS and a new Collector Edition TA...I just don't get the attraction of an auto. I get they are faster these days but there is nothing like driving your car and rowing thru the gears... Sorry, just my $0.02. I could have bought a new C7 Z06 but decided on the C6 Z06 because in my opinion its the last of the big displacement raw V8 Vette offered by GM, its actually a simple car, powerful, light and has a manual transmission. I could only have it in manual transmission. Shifting thru the gears around town and hearing that beautiful engine is what I enjoy the most.
