Definitely. So are the brass posts the ones of choice?

This is in my Amazon cart currently. Easy enough to change the type of posts though.

Every once in a while I drive by their house in the police Tahoe and light em up at night. Light goes right through their front window. LMAO

You'll need the kit I showed you for the post for sure. The threaded part where the battery post are normally located are for the L-bracket to be attached, which is where you then connect your appropriate battery post. If you connect the post directly to the battery, the battery cables themselves won't fit in the recesses in the battery.

This is what my setup looks like

Yes, those are the ones
XS Power 586 Tall Brass Post Adaptor (M6 Thread)

The brackets you want to use for the post (which should be included with the battery) are like this...

Does this battery work for everyday usage if kept on the charger when stored?

I have been looking at another lightweight battery but dang it's expensive. About $800 all in.

Everything I've found and all those I've talked to that are running it, YES. Works great, just keep it on the charger when car is sitting.

Yes, I use it as an everyday battery, and I leave the battery charger connected at all times as it's small enough to sit in the battery cubby along with the battery

when I park the car in the garage, I simple attach thew power cord to my retractable troublelight that hangs from my garage opener.

Here is mine on the scales. Intentionally had to pork it up a bit to meet weight for time trials:

Attached is the corner weight snapshot from my 2006 Z06 when it was stock. 1/2 tank of 93 gas with nobody in the car.

I run a Shorai in my motorcycle, have been using it for years. I use their battery charger/tender, bike is always plugged in when not in use. I like it but, iis very sensitive to cold temps though, when it's below 50 deg I have to turn on the headlight for about 30 seconds to "warm up the battery" before it will crank the starter motor. Are the larger automotive sized Shorai temperature sensitive also?

I plan to get AFX rotors for the front, 15" conversion for the rear, light battery, carbon hood, carbon hatch with poly-carbonate window, and a few other things here and there. I'd love to be at 3000lbs with me in the car. I try to race the car with, at most, half a tank of gas.

I'm dropping another ~30lbs in a week by switching to the LG GT4 axle-back, from the ZR1 OEM mufflers.
What thickness poly-carb window? They have 1/8", 3/16" and 1/4". I'm wanna do 3/16" hoping it's stiff enough for the street. 1/8" definitely too thin. I had that once and it needed bracing. !/4" is almost as heavy as glass which is .150".

I believe NHRA rules state 3/16" is the thinnest you can go. Since it will see the drag strip, that's likely the one I will go with.

I'd love to run a smaller battery but I live in an apartment with no garage. I do drive the car everyday, tho. Not sure how that battery would hold up to that.

Alternatively, I don't know if it would be worth the hassle to swap it out every time I race the car.

The apt with no garage I understand as you’d want to def keep it on a charger when not in use. But why would you have to swap it out to race the car?

I meant if I were to have the OEM battery in the car, daily. Since I don't have a way to keep the Shorai battery on a charger while it's installed in the car, I'd have to swap to the lighter battery when I go out and play.

Really want weigh savings where it counts first...welds alumastars shiny 10lbs each...minus 8 lbs off your skinys..bias ply fronts equals savings also...your forgestar rears are about 25lbs...c5z fronts are 19lbs another 12 lbs where it counts...your 325 tire is what? A 34 lb tire? Hoosier 315 is 24lb..another 20lb off...your skinys tire is what? Could be 50lbs of rotatational unsprung mass off right here...it's like removing a person in sprung mass from your car...gl
