Default Can't inflate the tires

Went out to air up my 13 ZR1 and my 15 Z06. Last couple of days have been cold, low 30s. Today bright but cool- middle 30s.

The Z06 went fine, but 3 out of the 4 ZR1 tires would not show a pressure and would not accept air. Took it for a short spin to see if the valves were possibly frozen. Tossed a cup of hot water. Nothing.

Anybody ever encounter this?

(As an aside, I just replaced the battery and the tire pressure display has the front and rear tires swapped.)

Just curious, did you use a tire gauge to verify the pressure in your tires?

Yes, I have had this happen!!

If you have valve stem caps that have rubber o-rings in them check to see if the o-ring has stayed in the valve stem when you removed the cap, you will need to look very closely..

To remove the o-ring from the valve stem, find the smallest pin or in my case I used the smallest Allen wrench and depress the air inlet valve (some air will escape) once you depress the valve enough to get below the o-ring just pop it out.

Good Luck

Khoeysr,

No problem!! I am glad that I was able to help...I had that happen to me last summer as I was getting ready for a trip, it took me about an hour to get it figured out.

Merry Christmas!!

Dude, I have a lot of first world problems as well as corvessive compulsive disorder.

I am beginning to think about trading both vettes on a new ZR1.
