Default Half-Mile Fast List

I see the ZR1 has a half-mile list, why not add that to the Z06 fast list? What has everyone in here with a Z06 trapped in the half? Add mods if you want!

Update: I will base this loosely off of the ZR1 template and note that if you are stock or modified in the list. Use the template below!

Year of the Z06:
Tires used on the pass:
Performance Mods (if any):
Category submitted for (stock or modified):
Mile or 1/2 Mile Trap Speed (mph):
Name of the event/track:

Awesome! The Z07 may cost a few MPH due to the aero. RPM makes a solid package I must say!

You can ask the mods to set up a separate sticky. The Fast List will not be modified.

Meh, these list don't mean much of anything since event, weather, track, how the half mile is run is ALL over the place.

My best is 192.8mph.

IIRC someone already made a post about this, but it never got stickied.

There isn't in 1/4 mi drag racing either but people are still curious about the times that others run.

So are drag strips lol. Until someone runs half mile events beside MIR/Atco, we get what we get.

Pretty much, it is mainly for those looking for different setups and what they run in the half-mile. The half is becoming more popular, it is a benchmark for higher speeds.

To me, it's a better benchmark of the vehicle than 1/4mi because it's far less dependent on skill and tires. I missed 3rd in one of my runs and was off only 2 mph at the end.

I agree with that, it is more about the car than the driver.

I beg to differ when you can compare the DA, the starting point of the track (roll vs true standing), track conditions (prepped), weather conditions (headwinds etc), and most all drag strips are flat (1/2 mile sometimes have inclines).

Both standing start mile runs, but a 21 mph difference? Why?

08' Z
Modified (H/C/I)
Tires varied, Invos for NFZ and SS, R888 rears for Mojave

Best standing 1/2 mi of the slips that I still have: 161.7 (NoFly Zone Ca.)
I did a 162.x @ Shift Sector Ca. but lost the slip

Best standing 1 mi : 181.3 (Mojave Magnum) on E85

*Bonus was a 196.9 @ standing 1.5mi at the Mojave Magnum

Wow. How much more did it feel like it had in it at 197mph?

I missed the 3-4 shift on that run and lost a few seconds. I think I could have cracked 200. Had a good tailwind that day too.

No thanks. Scary enough doing that on a motorcycle doing 180+, let alone a vette.
