Ted Jannetty does mail-order tunes. I've had them in a couple of different Vettes. They were good.

I wouldn't go to anyone else but ECS for your mail order tuning and I swear I'm not biased!!

Kidding aside, I have literally done thousands of mail order tunes, we have it down to a science IMHO. Same day turn around, $149 includes return shipping.

If you do want to go on the dyno locally check out the guys at JTM.

Thank you for responding Doug, I was very close to doing your tune , I was in dialogue with Chris , your sales rep , & I asked about removing the ecm & so when I attempted to do so by taking off the inner wheel well , I found it to be way further up near the top of the fender behind some very large canisters attached by hoses. Completely inaccessible to me as I did not want to remove the entire fender. Defeated , I put it back together & tried to get better instructions but was unable to do so. I have come to the conclusion that the placement of the ecm in the ZR1 is different than other models & the best way is to get a dyno tune at this point.

on a C 6 I find it way easier to remove the fender, about a ten minute job, then 2 sec to remove ECM !!!!!!!

I agree with others that have mentioned it......at a bare minimum I would want a true wideband on the car and a real datalog to see what's happening. Just dropping in a "canned" tune with zero review of data is like playing Russian roulette while blind folded. Not the best idea with such an expensive powerplant.

With all due respect, it's far from "Russian roulette" when done by a professional. I have performed thousands of mail order tunes, several per day, failure rate = ZERO.

That said it only works that way with bolt on cars, not full builds.

You might want to have a talk with whoever is answering your phones, I called multiple times , sent e-mails with pics attached & could not get a straight answer on how to get the ecm out of the car , I am very capable so if it was so easy & I knew it , I would have already mailed it to you, just an FYI because at this point I already made an appointment for a dyno tune...

Sorry about that, we have an office full of sick people calling out and one just had a baby on tuesday, we are not firing on all 8, but we will be back in action shortly. I appreciate you telling me though, best of luck to you on your dyno tune.

Doug can you tell me your feelings about rev-matching pro's or con's ??? does the C 6 ZO 6 come with a form of rev-matching on the ECM standard ??? we replaced our ECM (stock) and it seems to have it and is that why it seems most say theirs surges at low rpm and speed ??? Our ZO 6 is used for AutoX and DD !!! Thanks

No it does not have rev matching from the factory. C7Z does though. For C6Z simply install an auto-blip (easy to install and works well) for rev matching. Surging is not rev matching.

not saying it is, just why do they surge at low speed ??? the question was for Doug, to tell me can it be tuned to run smoother ??? my C 5 slightly modified runs smooth as silk at any speed ???

C6 Z06s do not surge at slow speed, unless you have modified them. Same goes for any mass produced passenger car on the planet.

If you have an aftermarket camshaft, you can experience surge at low RPMs. It can be mitigated with tuning, but Doug will need to know more about your combo to say if most or all of it can be removed. Start by telling us what is done to the engine, if it's modified.

AHP ported heads and a tune by I will not say !!!! replaced the ECM with a new stock unit drove the same, also have had others say theirs does not run real smooth at low speeds ???? as I mentioned my C5 with headers and intake with a tune by ECS runs smooth as can be !!!!
