CAI for Z07's
Looking at CAI for my 2011 Z w/Z07 pkg. Halltech states their Killer Bee 103 will not fit Z07/Carbon Edition. I know the Z07 (ZR1) radiator is different from STD Z06.
Anyone with Z07 package running CAI? IF so which one?

I run a Zip Products "Mamba" on my '12 ZO6/ZO7. It has worked pretty well. I've had it on the car for a couple of years. The guys at Katech told me a couple years ago that the Killer Bee and the Mamba were the only to aftermarket intake kits that they tested and saw useful improvements.

I have an '09 C6Z with an MF103, and I replaced my radiator with an OE C6 ZR1 radiator. Aftre the install, the MF103 went right back in without issue. I retained my OE radiator shroud, so I'm unsure if that makes a difference (is the Z07 shroud the same?)...but my MF103 fits just fine otherwise.

I spoke with Halltech and was told the same thing, they said it has to do with the shroud...I never wanted to spend $450 to find out if there is a problem. I figured something must be at issue or they would not be so specific about it.

I swear I’ve seen someone on here with either a Carbon or Z07, and they installed an MF103 without issue.

I recall it just being a post in a thread somewhere in this section...I’ll try to find it if I can when time permits.
I believe the supposed fitment issue was once being stated as the Z07/ZR1 rad sits up a tad higher than the standard rad, so the bridge on the MF103 is too fat to fit. Again though, it’s not the case in my car.

I went through this with Callaway as well, just to find out that on an individual part number basis there were no differences..
Honestly, I think it might be as simple as a manufacturer designing their intakes in 2006 when the car was released, then years later the CE and ZO7' come along and they are rare, and it's simply eaiser to say "does not fit" vs. obtaining one to test fit and possibly make a variation for..

I've got one on my Carbon Limited Edition. It's the clearance with the hood that is tight. I'm thinking the plastic radiator cover "pushes" the filter and air bridge up. Just shove it down as far as you can. I've clayed the air bridge\hood clearance and I've got a 1/4".

I have a MF108 (I actually ordered a 103 but was sent a 108) in the garage to go on my 2011 Z07 car. Based on my research at the time it should fit.
