Default Power stop c6 z06 pad QUESTION

So for the z26 pads for my car, (c6 zo6)are they only aval in the pucks and not the larger single type like the track pads ive been told about ? What are the best ones for a non-tracked car ? I prefer the larger pads if i can get them. Also do any large auto stores carry them.??.....i think rock auto has the best online price ive seen.

Id appreciate part numbers of the ones that are the most popular ..maybe im not aware of the larger pads actually being aval...thx guys

I just bought those pads. They came as the individual pads. I’ve only put a couple hundred miles on them. They seem ok but not sure yet.

I put them on my car all the way around. Fine cheap clean street pad, no squeal! They say do not use them for the track. Carbotech has an expensive street pad that might be a single backing plate. Forum vender sells them I think the 1521's? Not worth it for the street is my opinion?

1521’s are amongst the best street pad for this car with respect to performance and low dust, and they come in a 1-piece pad...but they are top of pricing spectrum for street pads as well.

The z26 is about the best compromise to gettting equal performance and low dusting at a significantly lower price...but the one drawback is that they are padlets if that matters to you.

Spend the money on the carbotech 1521 mono blocks. They are worth every penny, you get what you pay for. Had them now for 6 years, love them. Great braking cold or hot, no noise, hardly any dust, great modulation and butter smooth. And did i say long life?

For a dedicated street pad I would highly recommend the 1521. Low dust 100% made in the USA performs like OE. Not the cheapest option but well worth it.

Carbotech™ Bobcat 1521™ The Carbotech Bobcat 1521™ is our high performance street compound that is our most successful compound. The Bobcat compound is known for its awesome release and modulation, along with unmatched rotor friendliness. Like our AX™ & XP™ line of compounds, Bobcat 1521™ is a Ceramic based friction material offering minimal rotor damage and non-corrosive dust. Bobcat 1521™ offers outstanding performance, even when cold, low dusting and low noise with an excellent initial bite. This compound’s virtually perfect linear torque production provides incredible braking force without ABS intervention. Bobcat 1521™ operating range starts out at ambient and goes up to 900°F. Bobcat 1521™ is suitable for ALL street cars, perfect for your tow vehicle, police cruiser. The Bobcat 1521™ compound has been found to last two-three times longer than OE pads you can purchase at a dealership or national retailer. That’s one of the beauties of Carbotech Ceramic brake compounds. Bobcat 1521™ is NOT recommended for any track use.

I have the PowerStop padlets on the front of my Z06. The only regret I have is not doing the back at the same time.

i bought the padlet power stop z26 for my c6z. As far as I know they only come in the padlets. I liked them. Kept the dust low and couldn’t tell any difference in stopping. Some say don’t use for heavy track days - you might have to go with. Different brand if you want a one piece.

I also put ps z26 on my c7z. They were a one piece pad for the c7 - same low dust and can’t tell any difference in performance. They seem to have a little better initial bite then the stock pads. I like them a lot.

For the c6 and c7 z ‘s they are 140 bucks on rock auto all the way around.
