Default PRC heads, Pat G custom Cam dyno results

Pat G custom cam, 230/246 116 LSA.
PRC 285CC heads

Other basic bolt ons
Had a misfire from plugs. My fault, as they were gapped .045" which is way too big. That killed the top end power with a bad misfire up top that you can see. Drives like a dream, no surge, can cruise in 6th gear at 40mph off throttle, great MPG.

Have to pull the B&Bs off. I thought they would work for this setup, but they blow shut, so had to wire them open. The actuators are not strong enough to hold open. All runs on E62

I don't know. I love the way they sound or look, so I think what I will do is just safety wire them open for events. The exhaust force is blowing them shut, then when they are shut, it bends the valves. The one side started to bend ever so slightly just in 3 dyno pulls. So bent it back straight, and from now on I'll just spend the 60 seconds to safety wire them open so they can't blow shut for events/races.

I wish we could have got an RPM signal, but it just didn't want to read. The new intake seems to carry power up top, and has a nice top end which should help.

The valves on the factory exhaust don't have that issue right? Maybe you could butcher the actuators off the factory exhaust onto the B&B.

Not butchering anything. Factory actuators must have a stronger spring or something. They work perfectly.

Is that like metric numbers or something? What lift is on the cam? Those PRC285's are that good, eh?!

He has a blower. You think he is making this N/A?

Lift is .652/.652

Yes it has some basic bolt-ons besides the heads/cam. Very street-able nice setup.

PRCs are ok. If I could go back I would do all pro, brodix, mast or one of the higher end heads, but can't complain. 26k+ miles now on the PRCs at 1000+rwhp and no issues besides a spring swap at 20k and valve check which was all good.

I just installed essentially that exact same cam, just a tighter LSA. I'm short one blower though. Glad to hear the cam drives nice.

Its a comp LXL/LXL if people want the specific lobes, ran with PAC 1207x springs, ls7 lifters, solid SS valves, Ti intakes, smith brothers 3/8" pushrods, and stock rockers.

Peak map value read 244kpa. Didn't fall at all towards redline so must be breathing well.

Manifold or air filter setup?

Airfilter/inlet homemade.
Manifold G1Pro Ls7 short ram.

Definately lost some mid range. You can see it doesn't make good mid power, but pulls up top so that should help.

Stock cubes count, right?

Sadly my stock short block went a nice guy that dropped a valve not only once, but twice. Dealer replaced first motor up warranty around 30k miles, then when he dropped a valve on the dealer replacement motor he was out of warranty so he bought my stock shortblock for $3500, fixed the heads, and now is still out enjoying the car without issues.

Yes, I can see only 900 ft pounds of tq at the tire at about 5200 rpm which is usually at 117 mph (700 ft pounds at tire at 4,000 rpm or about 90 mph). I am surprised you can leave a stop light with so little torque.

It is on a 28" tire, so I'm sure that is off a bit.

Yes that would put you at almost 1,000 ft pounds at 123 or so mph (to account for 5% larger tire mph would higher for same rpm).
