The management of a 4 digit HP build seems pretty damn stressfull! So much **** to take into consideration it’s gotta be difficult to keep up with all of it! Stay the course man this thing is gonna scream!

Still waiting on hcm to replace hood or something. Just the run around and finger pointing so far.

Other than that intake is amazing quality. Working on last of front end work. Off to Texas for the week.

Audi got clear bra and ceramic. Looks great .

You're going to need a lot more PMAGs than that to feel safe. AND they aren't even loaded!!!

Jay, Athens

Blake, literally just opened box and dumped them out. Plus loaded ones are already in and near where they need to be.

Motor may start going together next week, or at least that is the plan. Going on a year since it came apart. Hopefully lots of updates rolling in soon, and can have it running before it is too hot.

Still no resolution on the hood sage. Company picked it up and it was returned on Feb 1st, but no sign of a replacement or anything.

Glad to hear Nick. I know how it is to have a car down for a while. Mine has been out of commission since October and likely not done until May. I'm digging those Borg Delrin bushings. Buddy of mine has them on his C6Z and they have held up great. I'm also eyeballing that Audi Q5 Prestige. You still happy with it? Wife is pissed that I have been driving her Grand Cherokee this winter and stuck her with one of my other cars. So is demanding a new ride.

Loving it so far. It is really the wife's car, since I either travel or work from home. Home 90% of the time now with just a few trips. Just got back from Boston.

Audi is awesome. No complaints at all so far. Does everything great, drives wonderfully. Makes me almost want to ditch the vette and all the other cars and just get something like a RS5 or something to enjoy on weekends.

If you are looking to get in a good SUV without dropping a whole lot of cash, then look at the 2011 to 2013 BMW X5 35d. The M57 diesel motor is awesome if you tune it and delete all of the emission bs. I actually own two cars with this motor, a 335d and a X5 35d. If you have it tuned it puts down about 365rwhp and 585rwtq. I was able to pick up a one owner X5 for 15k with 60k miles and it looks like it was never sat in. I like my Vette, but German cars are much easier to work on and engineered properly.

A year? Damn...time flies. Been on this rock for over three, hardly seems like it though. Wife has an A3 which I like for her, she complains it’s too big...lol. Not much else smaller. If BMW still made the 1 series, that’s her ideal size car. I love the RS7 personally...those with minimal mods can dip into the 10’s.

I have been looking at S7/RS7's for about three years now, and ironically two friends ended up getting RS7's after checking them out too. I almost pulled the trigger on a 2017 RS7 Exclusive Edition that was an executive lease return right before Christmas but this LS7 rebuild is eating into my cash flow LOL.
.
I think I'll take a look at the new RS5 Sportback too, which is a significantly less expensive alternative....but less power too.

Not really new goals. A few reasons.

I thought several of my buddies were running dragonslayers in their big nasty builds, but turns out they are all running CCW magnums. Big power aluminum builds are more susceptable to crank issues and taking out main bearings, so CCW is good idea for 1200-1400hp aluminum setups. Iron block like my old setup would run the DS all day long without 2nd thought. After waiting this long, plenty of time for bank account to refill and make silly decisions like this. It is totally overkill for my application, but cranks are something that can live a long long time. My DS was perfect coming out of the old motor. Rods and crank are parts that can go from motor to motor and live a long time.

So Ultra Billet CCW acquired. At this point what is $2k extra?

That block is a work of art! Agree with your decision with the billet CCW crank....as I wait for mine to be built.

$2k is nothing. Thanks for the update!
