Default Best tuner in North America

Just wanted to give a big shoutout to “the man, the myth, the legend”... Sebast19X

Seb was gracious enough to tune my car and i can easily see why he sits atop the NA SBE M6 Fastlist. My car picked up 5 mph 1/4 mile trap speed with his S.I.R.P. tune being the only change. My PB trap speed last year was 137 and today i was consistently trapping 140+ with a best of 142. Didn’t get a 9.9X yet but that should be coming once i figure out how to shift her a little quicker and get my 60’ down consistently.

That car is pulling like a freight train wooooo (best Ric Flaire voice). I mean no harm intended, but with a 60ft like that and still seeing 142+ mph means the car is on point. I have been telling people for the past 3+ yrs that Seb is teh absolute best after I myself picked up 6-7mph after he retuned my C6Z after it had been already tuned by a corvette known guru. We got Seb, Rob, AlexGZ06 (all seb tuned) trapping passed the 142 mark with 3 absolute different setups. I'm late to the party but I'm ready to Rock. People better start to recognize and the non believers need to wake up.

Rob great runs out there. The group talked earlier and you know what to do. That 9 is right around that corner, it's yours in no time. Keep at that 60ft your car is capable of 1.40ft easy. You got me pumped up, can't wait for the track to open up here

Wow, that's a huge improvement!! What is an "S.I.R.P tune"?

Simply a tune done by Sebast19x
Robs car was already tuned by a well known shop, and still Seb helped rob pick up another 5mph from an already stout package.

Do you do something that other tuners don't do, or is it more that you pay attention to all the details, and aren't satisfied with "good enough"?

He takes the time needed and that usually means hours for him. Big name shops just financially can't take that kind shop time and turn a profit.

Since knowing him, he has tuned builds that i have put together on friends car, some already tuned and improved further. We have a CTS-V that picked up 0.6 (11.2 to 10.6) and 5mph. We have AlexGZ06 that went 143mph still using stock heads on his C6Z. I myself picked up 7mph and 0.5 initially back in 2015. Robs improvements today are a testament to what we have been saying, picking up another 5mph. Not to mention Seb's own car being the fastest C6Z 427 MM6 on the fastlist. Some are unaware that he's been passed 140mph on the 1/4 since 2012 and has tweaked and grinded to where he's at now. It's not an overnight success story.

There's some more coming out soon that should once again further prove what well put together packages are capable of.

Seb is an attention to detail kind of guy to say the least.

My guess was that he hadn't discovered some secret sauce, but as you said, takes the time necessary to really customize and optimize the tune, which doesn't really work for big shops. Really fantastic stuff, thanks for the info.

Thanks James. I am looking forward to seeing your times soon. You don’t have any excuses to run some quick times with the full S.I.R.P. treatment.

You're absolutely right, I do not have any excuses this year. The cars ready, I feel ready, just waiting for the track to open up here. After 2 seasons of crap, I've never been more motivated to bang those gears. Should be good with this yrs setup.
Lmao, just thinking I still got a chance to beat you to a 9 lol.
The fastlist should see some action in 2018.

Don’t get too cocky... when i learn to quit shifting like grandma you are in trouble. The DA yesterday for those passes hovered around -500 with a 10 mph headwind. I have a track rental at MIR next Saturday so hopefully I can get the 9 before you haha

I might be out next weekend too. I don't expect much from the track on the first weekend opener. We will see I guess. Keep at her Rob. We are routing for you big time.

Good luck on your quests, both of you. I'll be trying for deep 10s, high 9s if I can figure out how to 60ft. Unfortunately, we don't get that amazing air here in Texas, so I will have to do what I can.

Nuke61, I don'T think I have discovered some secret sauce. Tuning an engine its not a mystery. But every combo is different and need what it need to extract the full potential and the driveability. So, I'll give all my attention to my customers to know their goals and what they expected with the combo they have.

I tune engine since 2001. I have some experience now. I have seen alot of people who call themself tooners. Today, it'S very easy to buy a laptop and Hp tuner or EFI Live and call themself tooner. I have seen tune from reputable shop Canada and USA. All I can say ; I'm far from impressed. Those peoples call it a day on a bunched tune with big or small setup, and took the customer money.

Customer service after buisness from those big name shop are also crap as per many customer comments i've seen. Tuning an engine at WOT only can be done by a monkey .... Tuning for driveability and wot are another story. Many wanna be learn on customer car. This is not my case. And Yes I put partiicular attention to the details. I can tune safe or on the edge side as per my customer request and I can almost life support all of my customers. I just want to help others members on this forum to extract what their car are capable with all the powerful combo avalaible today on the Corvette market.

All that being said, I also respect some of the great tuner on the US market.
Dave at DSX tuning and James Short are some of them. Great words for them.

Hope this help,

Seb

Dang, that's a LOT from a tune! I think perhaps I need to get the first SEBAST mail order tune!!

However, I do not think he dips down the chain to my lowly LS2...

I have tuned my car myself since 2003, and certainly I am no tuner, but my drivability is excellent which is what I have spent most of my time on.

I have great respect for you Sebast for learning how to do this and I look forward with GREAT interest to see you hit 9's RPMXtra!!! I hope you'll keep me posted as I'm not on the forum so much anymore. After running 10.8 with 1.4 60 foots so many times, I realized that perhaps that is as fast as my car wants to go... without a SEABAST Tune! That is serious, I bet a good tuner could get more power from my setup, don't discount the value of an excellent tune.
