Default Just bought my first Z06!

Hey guys I am back! Had a 92 years back and now I got myself into an 06 Z. Haven’t really driven her much b/c if the weather. Can’t wait for those sunny days in California! 43k on the spedo clean in and out! I have many questions about this car, and I’m sure I can get great answers here.

She looks great! Very clean looking car. Love the splitter, side skirts and spoiler.

Any modifications under the hood?

thank you! And yes it has a fast lsxr 102 intake, lt slp, and k&n cai and tune. Made just under 500rwhp. I will have to address the heads soon, after the weather clears up. I am just stuck on weather I’d want to rebuild them or buy an aftermarket set! As of now I don’t plan on canning it.

I just got my first vette last year september. 07 with 63k miles. Its like the sister of that car. Red with the same black accents. Never really wanted red but I fell in love with it when I first went to check it out.

funny you say that, when I was shopping for a Z I was set that I wanted silver. But man when I saw this one on a sunny day everything changed, I had to have it!

Yeah, I was thinking silver too. Depending on the year I really had orange at the top and then blue second, then silver.

Simply beautiful, nice find w/ some goodies to boot.
Wheels? Might be guys here w/ chromes willing to trade even-up.
Post a proposition in FS, see what happens.

Since you're in CA Abel or AHP are the go to guys.
This is a LOT easier than those of us in flyover, lucky you.
Do address heads ASDAP, though.
Minimally a thorough inspection, just for peace of mind if nothing else.
New LS7 $ is the stuff of coronaries are made of.

Welcome to the fraternity.

I wanted silver, ended up buying silver, and now I want a later model in Cyber Grey with silver Spyders...

Black wheels look good with all the other black accents on your car.

Are you sure the car did not have heads addressed with tune/CAI ?

well, last owner had told me he did not touch the heads, but he installed all parts and had it tuned at a shop here in CA.

thanks for the Info! What am I looking at for a new set of heads? Reason why I’m not sure to rebuild or by new ones is b/c I plan on staying N/A and don’t want to overspend on something that I won’t get to use the full potential of. Idk if that makes sense 😅
