2013 z06 need a fob & key please help
Hi,
Got a new 2013 with one (#2) key. Where do you guys get GOOD oem keys, I don't especially trust the quality on the "oem replacement" = china. keys.
Thanks.
I had a 2004 c5z went to this 2013 c6z.

Reach to Gene Culley, I'm sure he can help you... https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...rformance.html
Also, you may want to read up on the FOB relearn procedure. I'd be nervous purchasing a car missing a FOB. These cars can operate off of up to (4) programmed FOB's if I'm not mistaken...so I'd want to wipe the memory clean of any FOB's and make sure the only ones that can communicate with the car are the (2) in your possession.

I went from an 03 C5Z to an 09 C6Z...thought I'd miss the C5Z, but I cant really say I do.

Don't just learn the new FOB (short version) Do the long version but be sure to double check that the FOB slot in the glove box is functional before you give it a lobotomy The car will let you clear the FOB memory if the slot is not working leaving you with no way to relearn and a car you can't start. Ya been told!!!

It’s what I mentioned in post #2. These cars can take up to 4 Fobs, yours used to have 2...so you could conceivably add up to 2 more. But where is that lost Fob of yours? In the wrong hands, it could start and drive away with your car.
Short = simply learn (add) the new Fob.
Long = wipe all Fobs from the memory, and then relearn the two in your possession.
He’s recommending you test the Fob slot in the glove box before wiping the fobs from the cars memory. In the event the fob battery dies, there’s a slot in the glove box you can plug the fob into to start the car.

You will be programing the cars computer to the fob, not fob to computer.
