Numbers are in...
So... Firstly a shout out to Luke He is the one who turns the wrenches and makes everything right!! One of his many attributes includes his meticulous attention to detail. His shop is surgical, clean and he settles for nothing less than perfection!! His communication before, during, and after the work exceed expectations. IF I were to knit pick, he over communicates which to me is lacking at least in the DFW area. He knows our cars inside and out.. Has bought em brand new, tore into them, R&D'd them, built, raced them. Dallas Performance was where he previously called home working on high end Lambo, Ferrari's, along with other exotics. I'll not go into any of the other shops BUT he is not a "shop hopper" His passion is the LSX platform and he knows it intimately. People who know Luke can attest that what I say is true. If you are in the DFW area and are considering LSX work.. PM me and i'll be happy to share his number.
NEXT up.... is the "tune"... CARLOS (Vette Aire) is a sponsor here and long time member. Up until yesterday I had never met him. However, I had heard of him here in the DFW are for many years. He started around 3am yesterday morning out driving my car data logging. By the time I had gotten to the shop w the Dyno @ 10 he had it strapped up and laptop installed. He spent another 2-3 hours tweaking and re mapping the tune in only a way that he can. I'll not go into complete detail BUT the previous tuner had 27* of timing and not much fuel. Carlos ended up w 21* and much more fuel ( LS7 injectors @ 89%). He is a good guy and has a passion for making things "right". Which he did. Not only that but he took the time and explained in detail why he was doing what he was doing and why it was important. Suffice to say I was glad to finally meet him and he has a customer for life. Took my car to a whole other level. Thanks to Luke, Carlos for transforming my Z to what it "should" have been in the first place.
Now to the good stuff..... To be clear, the ONLY changes to my car were a new Clutch (Monster LT1S) Vette Aire CAI (CARLOS), Mildly ported MSD (LUKE) "changed out ported FAST 102" and a tune. both dyno's were Dynojet. Yesterdays numbers are "uncorrected". No tricks, No gimmicks. So, here are before and after dyno's....

Superb results Matt. And thanks for detailing the build and numbers. Is useful and helpful to the forum. Sounds like your car was in very good hands.
Car looks mean as hell. Good luck at WGF. Very interested in the results. Plus Wes needs to be put in his place anyhow.

Thanks Anthony.... The car is truly transformed.
I'm gonna get Wes out of the way early to get the butterflies out.... Then perhaps he'll be quiet the rest of the day... Waiting for him to show up in 3,2,1.......

I was a non believer regarding the FAST/MSD debate.
The MSD is WELL WORTH the coin.... After selling my ported FAST 102 I have less than $500 invested in the MSD including the shaving, paint, port , install...

I’m no expert by any means, but, to me, those look like a significant increase in HP and torque. Your car looks great, and I love the hood and I think I want to get that rear spoiler. Where did you get that rear spoiler?

Can you tell us the specs on your cam?
The whp increase seems about right for a ported MSD but I am curious why your wtq went up so much. Does Carlos think that the Vette Air has something to do with that?
