Keep us posted Anthony... Good stuff...
Still much better than the weather here. They closed Watkins Glen today and kicked everyone off the track. 30 degrees and freezing rain, sleet and snow. Track was literally iced over. I've never seen it shut down in mid-April.
I am racing with AER (American Endurance Racing) this Saturday and Sunday for a Porsche Racing team. Thursday is practice. Friday is qualifying and then the 18 hour race is Saturday and Sunday.
I will be racing against Randy Pobst. Pobst is in the yellow BMW #395. I will be in the white Porsche # 336 (Anthony). 95 race cars so far.

Sorry guys lots of overtime last two days. Setup is:
Diamond forged pistons
Improved Racing crank scraper
Advanced Induction 280cc heads
243/258 on 114 LSA (RPM B3)
2" ARH/3" ORX/3" Borla Touring
Mamo MSD/NW 102/Vararam
Mezeire EWP/ATI 10%/catch can/160* t-stat
RPS street lite twin disc/stock T56/MGW
trans/diff/clutch fluid all replaced a few weeks before event
I picked all the parts. Andy Canaan did the mechanical work. James Karger tuned it.
Rear tires used were Weld 18x11 with 345/35/18 MT ET Street SS. Fronts were 18x7 Welds 245 width. No weight reduction. Not sure how high 4th would run out to but the shift up arrow on the HUD had been on 2-3 seconds and I stayed in it. I was frustrated with car as it was supposed to be tuned on E85 last week but scheduling issues prevented that then I also bought base C5/6 rear brakes to try and shed some rotational weight but they didn't work out either so I decided screw it run it as is. With minor weight reduction and E85 no telling what it would've run. I'll add pics in a little later
Edit: Matt, I sold you the AHP heads and years ago the fourth gen ZR1s

Think it had a blown head gasket. Took it to Andy at that point and he said there was a ton of coolant in the oil. Had machine shop test the block it wound up being fine so I went ahead with forged pistons and the crank scraper. It's "technically" a 428" they're 4.130 pistons so I consider it stock cubes. I've never had any issues with it in 4k miles since. Car hauls *** and has great street manners given the cam size which is all I cared about. Made 611/519 on 93.

I was curious why you changed the pistons, 168 mph is getting it done.
I ran a best of 164.23 mph

Haha yeah that was me. Car went into limp mode, had to reset the battery for some reason. Think my tb slammed shut. Got it restarted and hot lapped it to 170.

Stock is around 145-148mph. 580-600whp will put you around 160-162mph. Most ppl running at that event were 4 mph faster than last November without the tail wind

mine did the same on Sunday AT the event... I got one decent run in (my first) and the rest sucked because of this... weird it never happened to me before and I have no idea how the pins got spread apart but oh well, I'll be back in November hopefully

Common issue, adjust the tune so it doesnt go into limp mode for TB issues.

Not even a scaling issue, just big power builds, and TBs start to wear out, so you get some flutter, or doesn't return quick enough, so you get a REP mode, and kills a run. Have to reflash, and start over. Just adjust the TB error settings.

Set off all kinds of codes at 155+, active handling, traction control, charge system. The car actually shut down at the top of one run, dead, dash lit up then as soon as I got off the throttle, it restarted.

I think the LS2 TB did get some flutter and it had a return issue and the car went to REP mode until a reset. Luckily it didn't completely die until I got the car home.

I got two good runs last November and then the throttle body went ape ****.

pretty much the same thing happened, it would trip tps/traction codes and go into rep and I coasted the rest of the way while trying to clear the codes to get the car running and slow down at the same time... it happened once on the 3-4 shift and the second time was nearly at the end of 4th... aside from wot runs the car ran perfectly fine
