Default Going boosted.......

Hey what’s up guys, couldn’t of guessed it sooner huh? Well after having some talk to my engine builder and a few tuners we feel more than comfortable to run boost through this setup. My engine builder says this engine ain’t blowing on me this time lol. Worst case he will help me build a badass iron block LS to handle any amount of power I can throw at it. This is what I told him. I wanted a cheaper reliable mild boost motor that can take 600-700whp now it’s 600-800whp. And will be more than fine with forged pistons and rods and arp all around and put together by him and degreed. My buddy Lamar has been in the game for 50 years and worked for gm in metallurgy. So I trust him fully. So the exciting thing is he told me
this long block will put 600whp to ground with his work he says he’s done it many times. So it’s basically only heads and cam with gutted cats everything else is stock. Couldn’t believe it but I guess we gotta wait and see right? Can’t wait! He also suggest me using a top mount blower for this which is even better! Time to save for that whipple!

how I’m doing this in tri mesters:
Mods

1: Heads/Cam/forged parts GOALS: I don’t care atm

2: 2 inch ARH headers/Mamo msd/NW102/haltech intake GOALS: 600whp+ on e85

3: 2.9 whipple in replace of Mamo intake and haltech intake GOALS: 700-800whp on 10 pounds or less

There is so much "WTF?!" in your plan that I wouldn't know where to start if I were going to try to help you. The good news is that you'll change your mind a few dozen more times before Step 1, let alone, Step 3.

Why waste money on a MSD/NW? Just get the motor in and running and then save for the supercharger you want.

I was thinking the exact same thing also I could swear there were several threads in the past stating that boost and a stock block is a ticking time bomb.

I’m sorry man but you’ll be pulling the motor very soon after you go boost. There is no point in going forged bottom end if the sleeves are staying stock. In boosted applications the sleeves are the first to go. Not sure I would trust your buddy if he’s telling you otherwise. But I hope everything works out for ya.

Do you have a goal for the car? Or is it just to throw as much money as possible into a car/combo just because you can? And if money is not an issue, why put an iron block in the car? Makes no sense where there are better (and lighter) aluminum options to choose from.

Then he's full of **** and or you're insane. No way a stock LS7 block is holding any boost for that power level very long

i want my 600whp NA goal if anything I can resell the intske for almost the same price even 1000$ is a win in my book. Super charger is in most likely a year -2 years sooo I think my goals are safe for now. Like I said my engine builder would build me a iron block dart ls block if this one blows.

be able to DD it and pull 99% of the cars on the free way. Have a 99 mustang me and my friend are building 1000whp with my engine builder Lamar! He's hooking me up 30-40% off any part I can find he's got the hook up he knows everyone! Including Jason from Katech

His block will be just fine - it will be put together and degreed very carefully, using only the BEST metallurgy. This guy has a plan... don't knock it just cause your stock metallurgy sux.

Not sure if you know this but when an engine lets go you can total the car by losing control...

no way in hell would I risk that.
