shifter viabration!!
hi guys..new to the forum .. I just purchased a 09 zr1 and on initial test drive didn't feel the vibration (didn't want to drive it hard in front of the guy) in the shifter..long story short he says its prob the bushings, now I bought a crappy warrantee with it but we all know how that goes... anyways the vibration is between 3300 and 4000 rpm, anyone have this problem before?

Might need to pull the console to tighten the bolts that mount the lower housing to the tunnel. 2009 was the last year GM used the solid brass bushings, they then used rubber (base C6) bushings for this exact reason. Having said that, my 2009 with brass bushings doesn’t rattle at all. Only time was when I installed the LG shift **** that controls the muffler valves...rattled something terrible, so off it came. That LG **** was noticably lighter than the OE shift ****, and was the obvious root of my rattle issue. You may also want to check that the mounting screw for the **** is tight as well, but that typically has loctite on it.
