Default Wheel spacers on a ZR1 that is tracked

So, Should I be concerned to add spacers on the front wheels of my tracked ZR1 (CC brakes)? They are 4mm thick and that would equate to 4mm less thread engagement.

Looking at forged 18" wheels on all 4 corners.

Thanks!

Hello Jim. I’m matt, the owner of the ccws your looking at. Ccw supplies the spacer as It is required for the front carbon rotor so the wheel makes a flat contact patch. As their hub face is larger then the ID of the recess sections OD. If you ordered these ccws wheels from ccw. The spacer comes from them for the zr1. They are designed for stock lugs/studs and It is only .155” only on the front.

Yeah, you don't lose any thread engagement if you use the spacers that CCW supply for the ZR1. I run these with no problem.

I actually needed extended thread lug nuts for the front wheels with the spacers. Stripped out one oem lug nut and the other 4 were getting ready to do the same.

You’re not losing enough threads to be worried about it on track

I was not able to torque the lug nuts (oem) to 100. I did all 5 to what it felt like around 80. When I went to torque the first one at 100, the lug nut loosened up. I stripped out about 4 rows of threads. I had to abandoned the other 4 as they too started to loosen up the more torque I applied. So I needed to go to extend threads.
