2010 ZR1 Build thread
I thought since guys are picking up low mileage ZR1s, I thought I do my little build thread. With a little help from my friends at Tampa Tuning, Im not going over the top like I did with my C5, but just some simple modifications to make the car a little more fun. Because after all, enough is never enough. Ill post progress as it comes, but here's my little red corvette.
She baselined 520 RWHP completely stock on a mustang dyno last month with 3600 miles on her. I bought her for my birthday in November, 2017.

She is a beauty Sir.
I did tune, ported throttlebody, K&N filter only, Corsa Sport axle back, MGW shifter.
585 rwhp/ 560 rwtq More than enough for now. Will upgrade pulley/cooling later.
Probably wont do headers as the stock manifold breaths well.

Thank you Tony. Last month I wanted to see if I have a stock air filter or aftermarket. When I removed the intake to look, I installed a ported LS3 throttle body. There was no down side to it. My filter was a stock air filter. I was trying to buy a used K&N intake for the ZR1, but a couple guys were wanting $70 bucks less than I could get a new one for, So I ordered a new 63-3080 K&N cold air intake from www.autosevolution.com

The new carbon Fiber intake came in, Just got to install it.
The headers should be here this week, but im going to have them sent out to engine armor in Brandon and thermal coated them Red to match the car.
I had that done with my Blue 2010 Camaro, and it looked pretty sharp.

Will you be at FL2K? I imagine yes since it is in your backyard.
I've been every year since 2015. Planning on bringing my car this year.

K&N intake update
So I had a chance to install my K&N carbon fiber intake today and a new LS3 throttle body.

Headers
I picked up a set of American Racing Headers from Tampa Tuning last week. I went with the 1 7/8 inch to X pipe to 3 inch. I ordered both cats and non cats. Im going to send the non cats one back and go with Catted. Im sticking with the stock mufflers since I have the mild to wild switch.
I dropped off the headers to my friend Scott at Engine Armor in Brandon to have them thermal heat coated in a glossy Red to match the ZR1 like I did my Camaro's headers in Blue. I really liked the way they looked on the Camaro matching the car color. Ill post some coated pictures when I get them back.

Headers coated
I stopped by and saw Scott at Engine Armor Coating in Brandon last week to pick up my 1 7/8th inch American Racing Headers. They came out pretty cool, and now I wont have to worry about them bronzing heat cycles. I did the same thing in Blue with my Gen5 Camaro SS to match the ABM color, and they never changed faded.

Have to admit I would never have thought to coat them a color... very cool, and to hear it holds up well... just awesome. Thanks for sharing.

FIC Injectors
I picked up a set of FIC 850 injectors to keep up with the extra fuel requirement. When I did the math at my current duty cycle, I calculated in the new pulley, I came up with about 93% duty cycle with my stock injectors. So Ill switch them out when the pulley is done. Im not going to be adding additional mods after the headers, Intake, and pulley, so these injectors will be plenty.

Looks like Ill have some time next week to install my headers. I tried waiting for Lingenfelter to send me my 2.6 pulley I ordered three weeks ago, and install every thing at once, but three weeks later..... three phone calls and three emails, I got nothing from them but a bill to pay.

Hard to believe I didn't get these installed last year, but they are going on today.
Im just doing the headers. Wifie rightfully so complaining about the headers being in the laundry room for a year lol
I wanted to get these on, then Ill do the pulley and hopefully the dash pealing at the same time.
