The G1Pro Billet intake looks awesome. The attention to detail is obvious, and beautiful. Well done!

do you think there are gains from going from 102 to a 108? If so how much I am just trying to justify spending that kind of money

Heads should be here next week, intake will be ready in probably two weeks. Hopefully they should start building it in about 2 to 3 weeks. I don’t know the cam specs but Erick Said it was going to be around at 750 lift and yes the engine is staying hydraulic. Pretty much all the other parts are at the shop just waiting for the big stuff.

I'm sure there will be gains from the larger TB with the 468. Two computer programs I have show 9 crank hp peak to peak on my engine, 102 vs 108, at 7000 rpm. But power difference at 7500 rpm was 14 hp.

At $1600 (if you sweet talk Weapon X) all in, the 108 is very expensive, especially for only 9 crank hp. But like ramairws6 wrote, it takes a lot to move the needle at this level of performance. It might be worth the cost if you have not already purchased a 102. if you have a 102, harder decision.

MUCH larger TB gains can be had if dual TBs are used. But controlling twin DBW throttle bodies has it's own challenges. I'll probably give them a try at some point, but that means a custom Hi Ram Lid and probably aftermarket ECM.

The build sounds monster...looking forward to the finished product. I personally think dual TB's would be worthwhile, but yes...controlling them reliably becomes the next hurdle to overcome.

Waiting for the heads from Richard at WCCH. The motor should start being assembled hopefully next week. I think they are waiting on a couple of other parts.I’m going to call today and check if they have figured out cam specs.

Should start assembly next week. LS7 block, small journal bearing crank and rods and pistons. Heads should be here soon. After Richard at WCCH is done he is going to flow test them. Cam specs coming soon. Erik at HPR said it will be around 750 lift on this hydraulic set up

just curious what kinda price are you looking at for this setup? or at least the short block ?

ballpark is fine, don't need exact numbers... just trying to figure out rough financials on the bottom end

I know Jeremy has pointed the thread out to me a few times and we have just been slammed a bit here at work I haven't had much time to get on the forums.

Jeremy has been doing a great job of all of the photos and info and big thank you to him from all of us here at HPR for sharing his build!!

WCCH has finished the Brodix heads and they look to be here end of this week with any luck from UPS. Once those arrive it will start narrowing down to the final checks on the valve train, and assembly. I know we are all very interested to see the results with the new G1 intake and can't wait to see it arrive here at the shop! As of right now, it is just awaiting the top end to arrive!!

There are a number of things you can do, but the 468 short blocks start at $7600+ shipping (tax if you are in Texas). Jeremy opt'd for a few upgrades as he did want the LS7 block vs the 5.3L as well as the small journal rods which are in addition to that.
