Price check: '09 Z06 w/ 34k miles @ $37.5k firm
Hi all, I've been looking for a black Corvette from 2009 to 2013 in my local area for a while. I finally found one, the details of which are in the title. It's pretty clean on the outside and all stock except for a mild to wild switch. The owner is a nice older gentlemen who seemed to baby it and take care of it.
He won't go down on the price past $37.5k. Is it a good price considering the miles? I've seen 2009's with lower miles and lower price, but since I'm not willing to buy out of state, and considering how uncommon 2009 to 2013's are, I'm wondering if I should go for it.

I would think its a "tad" high, but bot outlandish. If its the car you want, and it meets your criteria, negotiate the best deal you can for yourself and pull the trigger. If you could get it for $35K, I'd say you're doing alright.

Thanks for the response. I agree as well, I think $36.5k is what it might be worth. He was adamant about $37.5k though.

With that mileage, way too high. $34~35k is fair deal. Hell I paid 28K with minor paint scratch on mine with 33k miles. 06Z but still no where near 38

Thanks everyone. I think I'll wait for him to go lower and if he doesn't I'll probably skip - there are a lot of Vettes starting to pop up for sale now that it's summer!

You may want to ask a few more questions.
1lz, 2lz or 3lz?
Condition of the tires. A new set of Michlens are closer to 2K than that.
Did the car have an extended warranty? If so It might still be under warranty.
Were all the factory recalls installed, there were many that were not listed, you have to complain and then they apply the recall.
Was this vehicle ever damaged in a fender bender?
If the coils were replaced and it has new shoes, recent brakes, never banged up -- it might be the deal you are looking for. The heads should be OK, but check that one just for S&G.
My 2009 Z06 still has one month of extended warranty left. New Tires new Brembos worth around four or five grand depending on who did the work.
I would not get too into what somebody else paid for a different car, I would look into the maintenance, history and what you may face, if you have deferred maintenance at that mileage you are looking at brembos, and tires for certain if they are not new.

I paid $35,500 from a dealership a few months ago for an 2006 black on black 2LZ just under 14k miles good to great interior and exterior. This dealer was also a “no haggle” place. They wanted $36,500. They definitely did haggle lol. Not much but $35,500 cash they weren’t gonna let that walk. Not that this matters cause it was a dealership and aftermarket parts have no value. Car has a good 12-15k under the hood as well. Cam/headers/stage II ProCharger P1SC1 Dewitt’s radiator, a few other upgrades needed to run the blower. Just saying better deals are out there for sure, especially if your willing to travel. I set a 400 mile radios I’d drive anything over that I planned on spending an extra $500 or so on getting it shipped. Be patient and enjoy the hunt. 🇺🇸
