high rpm noise after clutch change
my slave was toast so i replaced it and also changed clutch to a new one while being there. i had everything apart including the torque tube to check the rubber couplers. but they looked good so i put the driveshaft back in.
on the first drive everything seemed ok till i hammered it after oil was hot. now there´s a strange vibration and scratching noise on high rpm.
it starts right about 4k and is just under load. when i rev the engine without a gear there´s nothing at all.
weird is that if i do sharp left turns i can also hear it with constant rpm.
it comes right from passenger side floor area.
it sounds like something is scratching but i double checked all bolts and everything that i removed when i changed the clutch.
did i probably hurt the front torque tube bearing?
i didn´t have the driveshaft apart.
i´m trying to upload a video i made today where you can hear the noise for a couple moments. sorry for the tranny whine but my t56 is also dying

thing knower
I just had my t56 die on me too...
sounds like the start of the main shaft bearings going out like mine.... sound started like yours, then progressed to what mine was doing..
there are other videos around with the torque tube bushing going out and it sounds similar

yeah the whine comes from the transmission. you can perfectly hear it when you have it idle and stand next to the car.
but i need to get tips where the shuttering noise could come from that happens at 0:11 at speeding up when revving between 4K and 5Krpm.
it is so weird because it is just happening at this rpm and load or cornering hard to the left but not when going to the right or keeping that rpm level.
you need to have good and clear speakers to hear it cause the tranny whine is too loud
