Lookee what I found!
After selling my JSB Z06 about a month ago....I started hunting for a C6ZR1.
Found 3 or 4 FS I really liked over the last few weeks..and the prices appear really good right now ...and will possibly be getting even better, with the introduction of the C7ZR1 coming on the scene. Regardless, the iconic C6ZR1...is a steal in my opinion.
As fate would have it, I was just about ready to pull the trigger and put a deposit down on a 6K low mile 2011 TR car located near Houston at a dealer (across the country from me)....but I had a few reservations... since the dealer didn’t know much about the car (as usual) and for me not being able to put my own eyes on it without taking a plane ride, or making a long road trip....
Well on Sunday, I stumble across a 2011 Torch Red, 3LZ, 2500 mile, original owner car....and basically like new. After a short call to get the details from the owner, I pulled the trigger and said This is the One!
So yesterday I literally spent the entire day (12+hrs) driving over one state (thru the rain)...and then loading up the car and trailering it back home!
One thing I noticed right away, is it rides better than my Z06 did...especially in touring mode with the MSRC magnetic shocks. And the 3LZ just feels a touch nicer than the 2LZ car I had.
Only thing I think I’m going to upgrade, is the steering wheel to a 12 or 13 version.
Couldn’t be happier and the car is Fantastic!

Congratulations on a beautiful ZR1! I have a ZO6, and I’m very happy with it. But if I could justify the additional cost, I would get one. Affordability is not the issue, but the Z I have, has more power and handling than I care to push. It is stock, with new PS4s tires, and traction in first is marginal. Sorry, I went of on a tangent. Your new car is in my opinion, the ultimate Corvette!
