Default I NEED HELP....Please

Hey guys haven’t been back on here for a while dealing with allot of things and working 60 hour weeks. Anyhow I really need some help as my engine builder and I are fighting this dispute on PayPal of a ERL 427 block I sold. Ok so here’s the story I sold this erl 427 lsa block to someone that now came back 80 days later opening a dispute. He’s saying that the block was not as described. I kid you not I probably supplied this guy with more information than he needed. I sent him 3 videos and tons of photos gave him the original website and add that I bought it from which is still up. Told him everything I knew with him 100% honesty. And I put that on my fathers life who’s been a stage 4 cancer patient for 4+ years. So what he’s trying to do is get me to pay for his machining. He’s saying the bores are 4.127 and not 4.125 so he sends me his machine shop quote of 1200$ at first he wanted a refund of 3300$ and keep the block. 3300 was a steal shippped for this block guys. The bores came out to 4.1254-4.1262. He’s also trying to charge me for cam bearings labor magnaflux etc. he also knew about the deck and sent a picture admitting he seen it prior to purchase. Which he’s trying to charge me for as of what I know erl enlarged the main bores and did other things I contacted his engine builder and is a nice guy also named Chris he seems to Be on my side but can anyone help provide info this guy is trying to scam me for his machine work he also stated I said it was in excellent condition which was total bullshit I have allot of paper work saved thank god.

He also then states that the item was maybe damaged in shipping on the oil pan side which was fully insured and he did nothing about till 80 days later. I offered him 300$ for the supposedly stripped head bolt and just shut it down. I don’t know if he thinks I’m Naive but I damn sure know this isn’t right he was fully aware of what he was buying.

I’ve been down this road with a PayPal dispute and it’s a long drawn out process. It’s goes down like this. He will plead his case on the dispute window within PayPal. Then PayPal will review it. Now it will be your turn to type a message, submit evidence to prove his claim is moot. PayPal will review your sumbitted documents and statement. This process will continue to go on until the final decision. PayPal will then side with the party who has strong documents and evidence. Monies will then be withdrawn automatically as you may have a hold..or already be in the negative as we discuss this with PayPal. If you unlink your bank account then PayPal will send you to collections. It’s a long taxing process. I don’t deal with PayPal anymore but my girl still has it. Best of luck and glad you have paperwork to prove your case. I had plenty of pictures and documents to prove my case and I won.

theyre not damaged he just wanted them bored 4.130 PayPal told me if it were to come to a refund he would have to pay for the shipping is this true? He also already has machine work done to it. I think him admitting it could have been damaged in shipping and did nothing is enough I have the reciept

he expected the block to be perfectly 4.125 all around I told him everything I knew and told him I would not take returns I think that’s out the window as he has done machine work and he would not pay for shipping he’s tying to get the 1200$ from me

First of all by him wanting his money back and to also keep the block the guy is a loser. Give him nothing and by him having machine work done to the engine already he can't give it back you, come on.

I don't know but paypal sides with buyers I find. I had an issue once. A lady bought a pair of pants and I was sending them to Europe. I used the postal address she had on her account and sent it. She claimed she never got it. I had evidence of the address she supplied a receipt from post office with her postcode.

Amyway paypal took the money out of my account and sided with her.i ended up getting the pants back via return post a month later. But it was stupid they sided with her.

Glad you got lots of evidence hope it makes a difference!

As someone who uses PAY-PAL daily and for a web store, I can tell you that as a seller you are probably going to get screwed by PAY-PAL.

What every single AD has to state for USED PARTS is that it is "RACE PART" and sold as is, where is, you have 10 days to inspect and file a claim for a refund, shipped back at the buyers expense or else the sale is final................also the terms are that as the seller you reserve the right to have the part shipped back at the buyers expense for repair or refund.

That stops a lot of the crap quickly.

The wording on a sale is all you need, you also have to as a seller due your diligence, and have emailed the buyer your terms, explained this to the buyer, and make them to reply to you that they have read, understand, and accept your terms of sale.............and that alone will get you far on a chargeback.

In 12 years I have lost 2 charge backs, all the other buyer/scams they pulled I won because I had well documented the sale.

Good Luck.

Gee, what kind of pants were these that it was worth the time to advertise, negotiate a price and ship all the way to Europe...... and then have to fight with PayPal ? I just stick pants I don't like in the back of my closet until my next Salvation Army run.

i was wondering if any one knows if those specs are off for a erl 6 bolt 427 lsa block from
what I heard the main bores were bored to be bigger from erl

and what about the cylinder bore guys? Is it normal to have 1-2 thousands ??? I heard cause pistons expand anywhere between that is fine. What the engine builder told me is that he came in and asked to make the block perfect. And that’s when he came to me with a bill.

This is a discussion board for ZR1/Z06, not your personal life problems. Why are you posting this here? Go resolve this on your own with PayPal/Buyer/whoever. Rant about it on the Off Topic section ... This doesn't belong here.
