Safety Car
Maybe not a serious question?
Carbon Flash paint was only available on CE's. That is definitely not black paint. Other visual clues on this one are the 100th yr sticker on the B-pillar, red calipers, and the red stripe CE wheels.
I had a '12 CE Grand Sport and when I sold it was looking for a CE ZR1... tough to find in the condition I wanted in the price I could afford. So, JSB was a great 2nd choice.

I will try to make it short...LOL
I have been looking at ZR1's for as long as I can remember. The car that I had at the time was a 750RWHP Grand Sport. I decided that I needed to go ahead and sell it, so that when the right ZR1 became available I could jump on it.
So, I started looking much harder than I ever did before. I looked everywhere I could think of (Corvette forum, autotrader, car gurus,...ect..ect). Everywhere except craigslist..haha
About 2 weeks go by after I sold my Grand Sport. I get off work one afternoon, and for some reason I decided to check craigslist. And there it was!! The location was about a 2 hour drive from me.
I called the guy and he said that it was basically sold. He said someone was supposed to be there in the morning to get it, but he didn't have a down payment or anything. I told him that I could be there in 2 hours with a cash down payment, and if the car was everything that he said it was, and I would pay him more than he was asking. He said ok.
I drive up to his house and there sat my dream car!!! I gave him the down payment, actually cried a little, and gave him a big hug! haha
Now for the weird part..........
I recognized the car from a post on the forum. I had sent the originator of the post a messages asking if the car was still available, but I never got a response.
I ask him about the post.......He didn't know what a corvette forum was. (He didn't have a computer or access to any internet). I then explained the whole thing.
He said he has a friend that posted the car on craigslist for him. His friend told him that he saw his car for sale online by someone else. He then told me that this person came by his house one day, took a bunch of pictures then called him the next day and said he couldn't buy the car. He said he never heard from the guy again.
Everything in the post was correct, EXCEPT:
1) He did not own the car.
2) The car was not located in San Diego..never was. It was in Redlands, CA
3) it reads further down in the post that car was now in South Orange County - Irvine area....but it wasn't.
Below is a link to the post im talking about:

Anyway, enough about that....
Here are some pics of the way I found it, covered in dust
Pics of it now, in my shop....and it is actually is in South Orange County now!! hahahaha
