Time to let the Z go to a new home.
Ive had my 2009 Z06 since December 2013, and the wife has had enough. She wants a luxury car, something comfy for long drives with all the modern conveniences.
I love the Z, but even my young/old bones tire of getting in and out. Soooo today we went and drove a new 2018 CTS-V.
And the Z is officially for sale, and already pending sale to a local forum member!
I think we have our new car. Its every bit as fast as the Z06, but with a trunk rear seats and all the modern tech. Still have my 63 Convertible, so not leaving the community. I may even pick up an early C3 to build next.
Anyone else have a gen3 CTSV? Thoughts?

If I needed a luxury car that had a bunch of power, then I would buy the Audi RS3 or RS5 depending on how much room you need. I personally would get the RS3 and take it to APR for a tune.
Chevrolet doesn't come to mind, when I think of nice interior and luxury.

Considered a BMW M5, but my wife has not been happy with her 3 series.
If the RS5 was a 4 door sedan id be interested, but none of the AUDIs offer the performance I'm looking for.

The RS7 is ridiculous... amazing vehicle. But now we're talking about a car that is nearly 2x the price of a new CTS-V. I had a Gen 2 CTS-V and it was a great car... luxurious to the point I got bored with it, and bought another Vette. LOL This being said, I would not put an RS5 on par performance-wise with the CTS-V.

+1 on the CTSV! Solid car and fits all your needs, and usually where you find vettes you find CTSV’s and vis versa, most my “car buddies” around here have some really fast CTSV’s. 🇺🇸

My old man has a 2016 CTS-V. Gorgeous car. He test drove the Euro equivalents before buying the Caddy, and wasn't impressed. You simply get more for your money with the V. Here's a pic of our cars together a couple of weekends ago...
