Looking forward to getting the heads back very soon from WCCH. During my visit I dropped off my Frankenstein CNC ported Hi Ram so that Richard could port match the two. Richard went above and beyond and created a CNC program that would match the dims of the Hi Ram opening. Very impressive, and very much appreciated. So the heads are taking a little longer to finish up because of the custom porting.
Another aspect of the build that I've addressed this week has been tuning. I had Dave Steck tune my last combo and I cannot thank him enough for the great job he did with the tune and with continuing to support me with tweaks via remote tuning. I really want the car to be tuned in person with this new combo to get things really optimized and Dave and I couldn't make it work with him being all the way in St Louis and I in California. Dave recommended Matt Gower for tuning in California, so I'll be taking the car to GP Tuning on Oct 1st for a dyno tune. I've heard great things about his tuning and I'm really excited that he'll be putting the finishing touches on my build. It's awesome that he has tuned many all motor LS cars and his dyno can apply a load to the car to really dial in the VE table. With a cam this sized, every 1% of improvement in driveability helps.
I'll be in San Fran for college that weekend so it will be pretty convenient, since GP Tuning is almost 400 miles away. Lucky for me I have a tow pig Cummins and just need to rent a trailer.
So I have a deadline to finish her up now...Oct 1st!

I moved back to STL. I have a Mainline ProHub-5000 sitting in Australia that’s just waiting to come over here once I find a suitable building.

Dave, not wanting to sideline Josh's thread but can you talk about your decision to go with the Mainline hub dyno? Do you anticipate needing the HP capacity of the ProHub-5000?

I just wanted to give a shoutout to Mordeth for his awesome Amsoil care package. He offered a case of oil, on him, a couple days later it was at my front door. I’ll use all of this awesome stuff, thank you!!!

Anthony deals Amsoil? It is a tad late for me to order from him, my 10w30 Z rod went into my Z today.
I want some stickers and that clear funnel though haha.
