Considering cutting my LG carbon fiber intake to make it work with the Hi Ram. Cut along the red line. Cut out the MAF flange and relocate it to the other side of the red line.
6” to 5” silicone reducer sleeve to a short 5” 22* steel bend, then a 5” to 4.5” sleeve into the 108 TB. Just need to find a quality epoxy to glue the MAF flange in place. Carbon fiber to carbon fiber.
I vote No...that’s like defacing the Mona Lisa. I still say you try to fab a new lid, or use your current one to create a mold and make a new lid in dimensions you want...out of fiberglass or something maybe. Yes, I know...easier said than done.

If you can get that to work it sure would funnel a TON of air into the intake!!!!!
I think I would try using a Halltech unit or something like that that you can wiggle around as you like. Another idea might be to shim the mounting point on the plastic piece up front with some stirofoam/rubber kind of stuff. Looks right now it is 45 degree tile maybe tilt it to 55 degrees or whatever will work not sure how much higher intake is in front from your MSD.

I tried looking for it on google but maybe u can if you dig a little deeper. 956 resin with capaseal powder mixed in. They use this on composites on our military aircraft where I work. A friend of mine helped me with a small repair on the rocker panel and also mixed strands of fiberglass from cloth mixed all in with the 956. I’d assume it work great on carbon as well. Let me know if you need any help finding it

Is there an easy to use epoxy, like the two-part side by side syringe thing from 3M or JB Weld? I know they make stuff for plastics and composites, I just can't figure out which kind. Or anything else that's easy to use would be helpful. Dries clear would be nice too.

I used this when I cut apart my air box and glued it back together. It is black though. I had to clamp the pieces in place until it dried but it dried very strong. I'm not sure how it will hold with CF.
You know if you cut it exactly right you can flip it 180 degrees and the snout will be shooting up instead of leveling off. You have enough cord there to have your MAF on passenger side.

The shape isn't perfect oval, more like a hamburger, arched over the top, flat on the bottom, so a cut and flip would not work. Also too long. Also too small diameter at the end. Its 4" and I need it to be 4.5" at minimum for the Southways 108.

I had a great time man! The Burger was good, and it was nice to be near the ocean for a bit. Definitely, they also have Culver's in AZ somewhere. One of my favorite franchise burger places.

My concern with cutting it (aside from cutting that work of art) is that it will no longer have a sealing edge, or lip, as it does now. In fact, its tapered...so getting a worm drive/band clamp to properly tighten and hold a silicone coupler in place is going to be challenging. I can see it wiggling itself loose all the time as the car gets driven.

That's a definite possibility, but I could always use a mild adhesive to keep things in place. The silicone will contour to the taper, but yeah, a clamp on a taper is not ideal. None of this is ideal, but working with what I got.
