It's the dallas performance bracket. Needed a few modifications to fit properly but hopefully it keeps the belt in one piece for a long time because belt changes are not going to be fun. Time will tell!

It's twin Garrett 1K A2W cores put together and it's just going to use a large water tank/ice box in the rear. I had a heat exchanger on my Camaro A2W setup and it didn't really do much to cool anything down and technically having an HE would just heat it up faster with ice in the tank compared to no HE so we skipped it for this car. I was slacking and not really taking many pictures along the way with this build but I know Joe at CPR has many more but here is one showing the cores at least.

It's the LG sphericals and drag sway but I think it's a carlyle spindle/brake kit.

Took this yesterday, they are almost done with the water tank in the rear.

So CPR finished it up the night before Street Car Takeover and I had about 20 minutes to get it roughed in on the dyno before loading it up on a trailer for it's maiden voyage. Having never even driven the car on the street afterwards with the blower/glide I had no idea how it was going to behave or anything on it's first pass so I just softly rolled into it and I'll be damned if it didn't run an 8 right off the trailer. Actually this was the first 1/4 mile pass for both Joe and I with the new combos so make that two 8 second passes right of the trailer. Then I found the blower belt was rubbing the water pump under sustained load so I didn't want to risk wrapping the belt up on an electrical harness or something if it broke so that was that for the night. Going to probably put the electric water pump back on since it has tons of clearance. We originally removed the electric water pump and switched it back to mechanical because the bolts that held on the snout pulley backed out from the vibration, turns out Meziere only used teflon tape on the bolts instead of using loctite so we re-did that and will give it another go. If this soft first pass is where it begins I can't wait to see where it will end up. Thanks to the crew at CPR for getting this thing done so I could get it down to Street Car Takeover for it's maiden voyage!

Wow...nicely done. Any idea what kind of power that motor is putting out at the crank?

On this tune it is making right around 1000 rwhp through the glide so maybe 1200 at the crank?

Nic, this is the internet, so go ahead and embrace the concept that a glide takes 30%, and converter maybe another 10%.

Great job as always. Makes me want to just save for a glide and not even put my car back together until I get one.

LMFAO, true!

Banging gears on a higher horsepower build sure is fun but running a glide setup on these cars IMO is just as fun AND produces consistent results that are hard to argue against. It's like I didn't even try on this pass, I just wanted to shake it down and see how it goes and oops here's your 8 second time slip. LOL

Man, that’s awesome! Would be awesome if you could somehow mount a go pro to watch that blower under boost on the cog

congrats Nic.

Joe went 8.5@166+ his first time out, so........

I think both of these cars have 7 second potential.

yup! got to learn to time the 1-2 shift better and not short shift it, watching the rpm's climb, dip, than climb again from the converter coupling is a trip. Can ice down, launch on trans brake, and still pulley down more. I'm confident mine will go 7's nic's with the pulley combo on it should be right there with me too. Bigfoot will too when he goes a2w and pulley's down. he has gone 8.5 and did an 8.6 this weekend!

This thing should be 7's capable and make 1500+. How street friendly is a 'glide?

Keeping them cool, and highway RPMs are the issues. If you don't mind turning 3k and getting 6-7mpg probably just fine as long as you have enough cooling to keep car and tranny temps under control. Pretend you only have 2nd and 4th gear and drive around for a week and see what you think.

It all depends on how you set it up and Unreal touched on the main things although I would say with a typical rear gear application on a bigger power car it's actually not bad at all. You have power everywhere all of the time and cruising on the freeway at 65 mph you are around 2500 rpm range. Don't get me wrong it's a racing setup but perfectly driveable on the street and with dual coolers on it temps aren't an issue even here in AZ where it can get 110+.

A 3.42 gear on a 28" tire is really not too bad in a 1:1 gear. Not something You would want to take long road trips in but definitely livable.

I figured for a big power car it should not be bad. 2500 at 65 is wild though lol, I like road trips in my car. I may just keep my stick if I ever go big power. (I do not drag).
