WCCH did the heads originally, so going back to the same vendor works for me......I trust Richard and his recommendations
I did. Mine had about 7.2k miles on them, and the intake guides were all fine. The exhaust guides were "slightly" worn from what I was told.

WCCH stood behind their work, and discounted the guide related work, and I picked up the tab for the assembly/disassembly, valve job, seals, hot tank, shipping, etc...

My setup was a RR punisher cam, trunioned stock rockers and all supporting mods to make 608/525 sae corrected. It regularly saw 7.1-2k rpms

Deb/Richard told me the same deal.....they would take appropriate actions to address any work (if required) and discount accordingly, as I'm a repeat customer too
You made the same general power I did, and comparable RPM operating environment.

I'm sure their 20K recommendation is very conservative, but it would be interesting nonetheless to see how the springs would fair after that mileage.
For sure. I checked my C6 Z06 at about 17,000 miles of street with occasional track day and they were only a few pounds off PSI's new spec.

I'll see if anyone local has the equipment to test my old springs for me, which had approximately 13K miles on them.

So if you find that your heads didn't hold up worth a crap you're going to try the same setup again??? I guess if u plan on doing that every 15k that works. Seems odd to me tho!

The new owner of the heads can make that decision after the facts have been presented. I posted the cam shafts I used with the heads so people can see what lifts were used, and if those lifts can cause a significant amount of side loading that accelerates the guide wear.
I don't know if anyone has had a set of heads equipped with Moldstar's or any other available guide material that's been inspected after 18-20k miles of abuse. My post is just to present the measurements and the other relevant valvetrain facts, then go from there

I have a new build that is going together that I may post the details about when the project nears completion, and that build will contain aftermarket heads and matching valvetrain.

Ah I missed the part where you weren't keeping the heads. Makes sense.

I really didn't post that information as I didn't think it was really relevant , but to be completely transparent, I am moving to a new setup with aftermarket heads regardless of the outcome of the inspection

This is a very popular combo, so I knew it was going to be very relevant to a number of members here

For reference for those who run a different cam, here's the cam card for the K501 so you have something to compare to...
