Default drivers side door won't unlatch

cleaned touch pad on drivers door, did not help. the window drops down, however the door will not unlatch, open with manual lever. any thoughts or suggestions where i go from here.

You have a bad latch actuator. Common problem. The solenoids go bad in these and it isn't worth trying to repair it. A new one will set you back about $200. You can do the work in about an hour.

Thanks for your input................I suspected it was a bad actuator...............ordered a new one for $175.00....will be a diy project.

If it would not release from inside or out I would check the voltage going to the latch before just replacing the part. When checking voltage use the same ground that the circuit needs.

Give me the sequence for checking this and what reading should I have for voltage?
