PRICE CHECK. HELP PLEASE! 13 c6z06 - white H/C/I car
Hello,
I figured I would reach out and see what you guys think.
The zr1 I wanted sold. The only c6z06 I ever have considered purchasing was a 12/13 in white and had to be a low-mileage car. I would build the car so the fact that this one is a H/C/I car is a bonus for me.
'13 Summit White 60th anniversary 3LZ (2 tone dark blue/black interior) with 12,350 miles on it. 2 owner car. The car looks to be in near perfect condition but pictures hide alot so I'm going to put eyes on the car this evening.
Build by Walsh motorsports in the suburbs of Detroit and I know a few street cars running around built by Donnie. I would trust the build if its from him. Heads ported and fixed MSD intake, MSD Wires, LPE intake, Full Corsa exhaust (not sure if headers or not) Comp Cams cam (not sure the set up. Donnie is out of town and will get cam specs when he gets back in town on monday. Claimed 585 whp on pump gas which isn't a stretch at all but I have yet to see a dyno sheet.
What do you guys think it's worth? I know beauty is in the eye... but I'm curious to hear honest opinions.
Thanks for the help!
(I hope this is the correct forum. if not, admin please move)

I will say that I did check KBB as is and the car as it sits (not factoring in modifications which I will argue do not increase value) is priced between $50,477- $54,892 as a private party sale.
Figured I would show that information.
Thanks again!

Sounds high to me for real world pricing. Book value doesn't mean anything. Search for others that are for sale or selling in your area that sold. Between that and your own knowledge of the car you will come to a price range that will be pretty on point. I bought my 06 with 4000 miles on it bone stock for 36,000. There's always a deal out there if you willing to wait. I looked for 6 months before I bought.

If it's the perfect car for you and YOU think it is worth it, go get it.
If you did find a stock, white car and you planned to build it, the car would be down for a month or so plus you would possibly spend more money than you would to get this one.
You would be able to enjoy this car and most of the work is already been done.

I may get scolded for saying this... but I just don't want to completely lose my behind if I decide to move on from the car in a couple of years.
The end goal is a ZR1 but I think this would be a great car to get my feet wet with a vette.
I was assuming 45-50 for the car as it sits but maybe that idea is wrong.

If the end game is a zr1, then get a zr1. Pass on this z06, don't get excited. I think that car is worth 50-52

I know the car you're looking at because I've been hunting for a white 2013 to replace my 2007 that I still have. It looks awesome and you'll have to post more info here if you get it. I'd start at $46,500 and aim to get out the door under $50k. Mods don't legitimately increase value....but if a listed car is modded how you want, you can't ignore that when it comes to your own pocketbook.
Completely ignore the lunatic talking $36-40. That's where I'm trying to sell my HCI 2007 and I doubt I'll get it.

I guess the million dollar question is how much further the c6z's will drop in the next year or two with the mid-engine being unveiled within that time. UGH, terribly hard decision. c7z's will also slowly come down as people start moving on from them which i can only imagine will trickle down to c6z's

That one. I know a few street cars around built by Walsh and they all seem solid. He has a good reputation.
What do you think?

I dunno man. Look at clean C5Zs...still low-mid 20s. The C6Z is so much better than the C5Z that it can't get that much closer to those for an equivalent condition car. I think a lot of us here have no desire for a C7Z - I know I don't. I'm about to make moves on my second C6Z....could've purchased a C7 two years ago, but that's not what I want out of a vehicle and it seems to be a common sentiment in this forum, and not for financial reasons. At this point, a 2013 Z is just way more appealing at $50k than any C7 base/GS or stretching the budget for a C7Z.
I understand. I feel they are a niche market car that wont go away. Which is why I've always considered the "right" c6z
