So I’ve come across this question before. If you want reliability keep the mods simple is what I’ve read. Although, I’m curious who’s been using a aftermarket cam for 30k plus miles? I’m still on the fence if I want to swap one in or not at this point. My heads are fixed, milled, Intake ported, mild bolt ons and tuned. I don’t even race but love the sound of a nice cam ever since I was 18yrs old, 36 now. So who has the most miles with an aftermarket cam. Any 30-40k miles with aftermarket cam(insert name of camshaft or specs) or more out there?
I have almost 20k on ., but I'm told I have a baby cam...227/239 .640 .645 114 LSA. it makes 524 rwhp...new heads, no milling, no porting, AR long tubes, CAI, tune on 91 octane.
very nice man. Who did the head work if I may ask?
Advanced Induction did my heads, No milling, still stock compression. Some times I wish I had went with a little bigger cam but that is what the shop picked based on our conversation.
