I thought the same thing but on my car there is a very defined difference in how it runs and I have been running the 30 amp fuse for quite a while now and have not seen any bad effects. It changes the noise the injectors makes and it also changes the tune. Have not got to the bottom of why the car runs a lot better but still working on trying to figure it out. Also a side note if you have a Bose stereo the J fuse in the engine compartment current limits badly the Bose amplifier I have changed that fuse up as well and it massively changes how well the Bose stereo works. All of this may be heat related as the fuse box sits right over the exhaust header and gets really hot and if you look at little fuse data charts as the temp rises the fuses do not operate any where near there rating.

I had my fuse box apart and it is very cheaply manufactured. I'm guessing your problem may be from poor conduction... weak or corroded terminals.

Band-aid for a tuner (well..."tooner") to try and get a car to idle.

Lots of good Tuners correct tunes and take pictures of TBs that were previously drilled by their old tooner

What RPM will a good cam tune run at idle? I just got my AHP 116 cam Z06 tuned today. It runs great with no surging but it is idling at 950 rpm.

Interesting that you are seeing large spark variations that coincide with the switching. Here's a good thread on spark adaptives and slowing down the switching rate. Its geared towards idle but I'm guessing you could try it on whatever airflow mode you're seeing at cruise.

Its a simple correction in the idle table to lower the rpms. I personally set our 116 cam at 815rpms.

Jimbob8915 I would give your tuner a call and tell them you love it but would like a slightly lower idle. It really is a quick 2min adjustment.
If you email me

We can send you the idle tables we have found work best with our 116 cam and you can give them to your tuner.

I know you guys dont have a dyno but you do tune cars, yes? I am thinking when I get a little caught up from my recent frivolous spending I might just drive over to you guys to clean my tune up.

Actually we do have both an in House Chassis Dyno and an in House Engine Dyno.
Both we are still working on getting setup and running soon.
Our Chassis Dyno is a brand new twin roller Dynocom DC5000 Load bearing Chassis Dyno. We are currently building out our Chassis dyno cell with 4 post lift and a private Air conditioned customer viewing area.
Our Engine Dyno is a brand new Superlfow 902s Engine Dyno. We are finishing the construction on our new Engine Dyno cell as I type.

Yes Sir we would love to have your tuning business.

I replaced the radiator shroud. that got most of it, but it still surges a little bit, right at 2k rpms with low throttle.

Sox glad that helped. Now buy a new MAF. Should help even more. Might be something that never completely goes away. Mine still surges ever so slightly occasionally but it’s tolerable and barely noticeable

Tuning can make all of the difference. I have tuned out some pretty decent sized cams that would barely run when I started, but it can take quite a while with certain combos.

That being said, I know I am in for some trouble and a lot of time when a customer shows up with a camshaft that has more than 20 degrees of overlap.
