New to me c6z
Hey everyone, not new to forums or LS world, but wanted to show off my new-to-me z06
I sold my 2001 Z51 Corvette M6 blk/blk which I sold to find a c6z.
Details are,
2007 Victory Red C6 Z06 2LZ w/ Nav & red/black interior - production date 07/06 - LS7 built by Anthony Hoskins.
The day I bought it, sitting in front of old owners house after he had it detailed.
Original owner apparently won the car as a prize at a racing event, owned it up until 2016 when he sold it at 5,500 miles to the second owner, Who then sold to me 08/20/2018 @ 11,7xx miles.
The original owner installed a k&n air intake, LG long tube heads(heat wrapping all nearby clutch/brake/wire harness lines), mild to wild switch, LG torque tube heat shield, and had it dyno tuned where it made 481rwhp/463rwtq on their dynojet(have dyno sheet).
The original owner also installed an oem zr1 carbon fiber front splitter and full length rear spoiler in matching torch red, and had a clear bra on front installed early in its life.
2nd owner installed a Pioneer AVIC-8200NEX w/ steering wheel controls/navigation / removed clear bra from front/ 10% tint side windows 5% rear hatch
I purchased the car sight unseen in New Jersey where it spent its life, I flew up on a Monday morning and was on the road that afternoon to make the 1000 mile road trip back to St. Louis. Which made for a fun but tiresome ride as I had to be back at work Wednesday morning.
I made it home without any major problems other than something bouncing up under a semi and hitting the RF fender making 4 deep scratches into the fiberglass, in an otherwise perfect condition exterior.

a little better =\
As soon as I got it home I found a few things needing attention, some I had noticed during it's look over.
Needed tires pretty bad, clutch fluid was nasty, mass airflow sensor was barely mounted into air intake tube held in with 1 loose screw allowing the whole sensor to bounce around and no doubt allowing air into the tube.
Pulled the whole intake tube off to find a few washers as spacers and a new screw to replace the one that was missing, was able to get it mounted solid in the housing for leak free operation. =D
Did the drain and fill method several times with clutch fluid, replacing with Motul 600RBF DOT4 - I'll address brake fluid when speed bleeders get here using same fluid.
Since I work for Bridgestone my choices were limited but thankfully I was able to find some good options, since I have enjoyed these on my previous vehicles I selected a hardcore street tire and plan on setting it up with the more aggressive street/track Pfadt alignment at my shop.

Very nice looking C6Z!
Spoiler and splitter work work well with the design. Bummer about the road damage on the way home. Hopefully it'll be an easy fix!

Congrats on your new ride. The color is Victory Red if it is a stock 2008. Torch Red came back on 2010. Both colors are awesome though, I've had both colors Torch on a 2003 Z and Victory Red on my 2009 Z. C6Z is an awesome car, light and powerful. Cheers.

Nice ride, congrats. You may want to find out if the front bumper reinforcement was installed with the ZR1 splitter, if not then at speeds over 135/140 mph the front fascia will deform downward, creating the “smile” effect.

Congrats on the car, nice to get to know it on a road trip. Sorry to hear about the road damage, hope fix comes easy.
