So.. .winter time in the NE calls for upgrades right? Car is down at RPM for AI 280cc Heads, B3 Cam, Vararam Intake, ARH Headers & Catless Midpipe and dyno tune. Picking it up today - can't wait! Will post videos shortly

Black is just gorgeous on this car with it's great body lines. But it is a lot of work to keep it clean looking. Interesting to see what kind of rwhp it makes after the mods and how it drives compared to stock. I did all the mods to my low mile Z, but stuck with the stock cam. The car is night and day faster, but I left a lot on the table not getting a cam. I wanted a black car, but ended up with victory red, which looks fantastic as well.

Picked it up last Wednesday and have put approx 300 miles on her since. Put down 605whp/503ft-lbs and is a TOTAL animal. It's borderline obnoxiously loud with the Corsas and no cats, but I love it. Driveability is still pretty reasonable for a larger cam and pulls like a freight train.

Taking advantage of unusually warm PA weather... I've put several hundred miles on the new setup and absolutely love it - no hiccups whatsoever either.

Sound awesome. Are you getting a noticeable exhaust smell from the cam that was not apparent prior to the mods? And how about any surging or bucking - any impact to the way the car drives from stock? I have thought about a cam for a while now but have been talked out of it by my performance shop numerous times. He said I wouldn't like the smell, or the way the car drives compared to the stock cam. I would imagine the car is an animal compared to when it was stock.

Honestly, it's very subjective. Yes, you can definitely notice the raw gas smell, especially at red lights. I personally don't mind it (don't drive the car every day either) and would imagine it would be much better with high flow cats. It's definitely worth it for the power/sound gain IMO.
As far as driveability, I've driven cars with larger cams that buck/surge and the B3 is honestly pretty easy to live with. Low speed/parking lot manners are great and only notice light surging at certain spots when cruising. A lot of this is attributed to tuning and Fran did a great job with the car. It's a total animal, especially 60-100+, but still drives relatively stock.
Bottom line, it's worth it. I honestly got somewhat bored with the car bone stock and now I can't get enough of it. I wanted something a bit more aggressive and to be around the 600whp mark so this fit exactly what I wanted. There are plenty of options out there - shop around and any good shop can spec a setup to your needs! Feel free to PM me if you'd like to discuss further.

What about the low end torque, or let's say you punch it off the line or at around 20mph? Is all the power up top? I like low end grunt because most of my spirited driving starts in first gear. I have full bolt-ons with the stock cam making 526whp. I understand with some bigger cams the power is up top and you may sacrifice some low end grunt that the stock cam has. I'm not going to be driving it at high rpm that much.
