What's up everyone!

I've been on and off searching for a C6Z for the last year+ but being down at TX2K this year pushed me to finally pull the trigger and jump back into the LS world (had a bolt-on Red Jewel TBSS years ago - love/hate relationship).

Finally found this immaculate black '07 2LZ package C6Z locally with low miles (18k), bone stock, one owner, originally a Georgia car. Full documentation including window sticker, pre-dealership checklist etc. It was meant to be. After a test drive and PPI, it was a done deal.

After several honeymoon months, finally getting around to making an introductory thread and posting build progress as summer is winding down in suburban Philly.

Stay tuned for more!

- Alec

Congrats from a fellow Blk/Blk C6Z owner! Not sure how old those GY run flats are, but there's better tires than those for this car these days. Also, you're probably aware, but your car is missing the front splitter.

Thank you!

Replaced the front splitter before pick up and also the OEM run-flats shortly after.

I don't say this lightly but the improvement in switching from the Goodyear run flats to the Michelin Pilot Sport 4S was monumental. Ride quality, handling, road noise, traction etc are all dramatically improved. Very very pleased with them.

Thanks guys!

The car is in great shape but if you've owned a black car, you know how every little thing shows up. Had a full paint correction and 5 year Ceramic Pro coating done.

I'll get better pics but it was worth every penny. The hydrophobic properties alone are awesome - water just beads right off.

Congrats!

I have the Ceramic Pro coating as well, it's worth every penny. You can drive in the rain and the water just rolls off the car at speed. It's a great addition. I dry my car with a leaf blower after i wash it now.

Enjoy the ride!

Holy Hell man. That thing shined right up. I'm gonna have to find a reputable spot near me that does this kind of work.

What's the standard going rate for something like this?

Made the same move with my tires. I could not believe how much better the PS4 tire is vs the Goodyear tires. The ride is so much better and the handling is pretty good too.

Love the car, looks like you got a good one. Black is beautiful.

It really is - I didn't want to spend the $$ but am glad that I did. Maintenance is so effortless now.

Nice - I have AI 280cc heads on order

Thanks! It was a dramatic improvement and the paint wasn't bad to begin with. I paid $1k for 5 year Ceramic Pro and a light coat on the wheels/glass. Typically ranges $1,500ish but one of my buddies does it so I got the hook up price

Thanks! I really was blown away in the improvement. I don't know if it was that the PS4S are that good, or the run-flats are that bad lol

Ahhh makes me miss mine! I definitely enjoyed it and sometimes wish I would have kept mine but it was right around the time that prices at the pump spiked, so had to go with something more economical. Traded for an IS250 which is still my daily.

My wife DD a 2011 IS350F.... All I do is change the oil... Its a great car as well. Saw another TBSS yesterday as a dude going the other way honked and waved.. It was like driving past a mirror. You don't see these often. Adding an 01 Formula Firehawk to the stable in a couple of weeks.

Congrats! You found a beauty. Love black cars. Have owned several but they are a bitch to maintain. Ceramic was not around though so I imagine that really changes things. I am hopefully right behind you. Been looking for a long time and about to pull the trigger.

What all did they do for the paint correction part before ceramic on yours and what did that work cost?

You can't beat a Toyota/Lexus! Just could use a bit more power but she serves me well as a daily. You don't see Firehawks much anymore either - definitely post some pics when she arrives!

Black looks great for the hour or so it stays clean haha! It depends on where you go and what package but basically, it's a wash, claybar, paint correction (paint is cut and polished) and finished off with layers of Ceramic (I went with 5 year). I got a killer deal through a friend that does it but usually in the $1500 range.
