Yeah, why the hell did GM switch to those Torx bolts when the older LS1 and LS2 had regular bolts that came out with no issues.

Curious if the linked ARP bolts will even work on an LS that needs countersunk? Is there an LS7 specific part number?

Glad you got it done though. They aren’t the most fun to work on, but are so rewarding when they are running good.

This is one reason i just went and found grade 8 bolts at the hardware store. I was actually shocked they had the correct 8mmx1.50 machine head bolts but they did.
I could only find arp bolts in the old 10mm bolt style like ls1,2,6 engines use
maybe someone thats used then can post the correct ls7 part # for us

No your correct they both use/say t40 plus

The at I balancer instructions for the 9 bolts that attach the pulley to the hub is where I first saw the "plus" in relation to the torqx bit

Btw those balancers are nice. I went ahead with the 8rib so I wouldnt have to upgrade when I find a blower

M8 x 1.50??? Are you sure it's 1.5 and not 1.25? I've never heard of M8 x 1.5...and also, how long?
