Default C5R Blocks

They are very expensive and you have many more options today to chose from. Dart, RHS, LS Block with Darton Sleeves. Also depends what you are doing, an NA motor is much less in need of all the bells and whistles than a 1200 hp forced induction motor. I am not a C5R block expert someone could chime in but do they have accessories mounts for the AC etc. like the regular block.

what is IGL? Sorry if that was a dumb question. so if I use the IGL wheel on the intake it will help it stay clean?

Not sure if they are really needed that much anymore given the number of sleeved options and the LS7 block itself. The "REAL" C5R block had aluminum cams, Ti hardware and a number of other things that you won't see in the one sold to the public. Given the relative low power output of the real race cars in legal trim they could do stuff like that since it wasn't being pushed that hard either RPM or HP wise.

All depends on what you are after really. Sometimes a sleeved 5.3 block is just fine, other times you might have to look aftermarket Aluminum or Iron depending on the goals.

Any ETA on dyno world? Anybody want to make some guesses? I am thinking 700 hp and 600 tq at the tire. I think the 600 rwtq will be tough to get but we shall see.

they started the car up last night. All I can say by listening to it over the phone it definitely sounds a lot healthier and a lot deeper sounding than my H/C/I LS7. My builder said it sounded like a big block. So it is definitely getting closer. I think we should all play the guessing game and have some fun. I’m hoping 700rwhp 630rwtq.

OK, was wondering. I'd be interested what the duty cycle ends up looking like on E85. I just purchased some ID1050x's for my setup as I was worried about the 60 lbs Seimens Deka's not being enough.

These are the same injectors on my other set up that made 625rwhp on e85 and my tuner said there was plenty more room to make more power

You may have had bigger injectors than me....and I was 605 RWHP and 510 TQ, with the MSD and NW102 tb...1 7/8th B&B lg. I was on E54 with the 60 lbs.
I think Anthony said that Louis G tried the 60 lbs on his test mule 468 and ran out of fuel at 5800 rpm

Yeah I do have 85lbs. I just checked. So I should have enough injector to support 700rwhp n/a

Its always better to err on the to big side than just right...seen a few cars pickup a bit of power just by going over board a little on injector sizing to cut the spray time down.
