Default Fixing a gap in the C6 Performance platform. GSpeed Motec Plug and play ecu

This has been a very long time coming. Over the last 1.5 years, we have steadily worked towards making the Motec M1 ecu a plug and play setup for the C6. Everything came together this week, and hope to be beta testing the firmware next week on track. This Abilities of this ECU are almost endless. Its the Go to ecu for the GTR platform, and tuners such as Shane Tecklenburg use nothing but Motec to power the fastest Imports in the world while John Reed utilizes it to power the fastest RWD, AWD, and FWD half mile racers.

There is still a lot to be done with the finer details, but the days of piggyback ECUs and sketchy wiring are long gone with this setup. Fuel level, Gauge cluster, traction buttons all function, AC control and fan control with out issue and then you add in the Functionality the M1 offers and you now have all of the control for the engine, traction control, launch control, Multiple lanbda sensors via CAN, flat shift, logging, boost control, nitrous control, and the list goes on, and on.

Patch harness, stock ECU unplugged, and M150 plugged in.

Stay tuned as we finalize the details and publish the firmware package.

Does Shane use one on his boat? I heard it was crazy fast.

Good of work as always. I’m doing a stand-alone next year for sure.

There are so many stand-alone's:

FAST
Megasquirt
Life Racing
Pro-EFI
Accel GEN7
Electromotive
Fueltech
And on and on...

Hopefully, Motec can bring something plug and play to the Corvette world to increase competitive pricing amongst all the other ECU's out there. Standing by for results...

Did you watch the video? It’s already plug and play with our firmware. No other ecu is this capable with out getting their developers involved. We are fortunate we can be our own developers and make things happen.

This is why we can't have nice things. Louis gets Motec working with plug and play functionality, and here comes a list of other standalones that mostly aren't as plug and play. Seriously?

And all of those besides pro-efi are not even useable as a standalone in a vette. You have to keep stock ecu still to drive the dash, active handling, tb, etc.

What Louis has done is ground breaking.

Come on y'all… I didn't say anything negative. I'm just trying to make sure that the "groundbreaking" products are actually groundbreaking. And FWIW, Pro-EFI (for one) is claimed to be plug and play...

Did that harness actually look plug and play to you? It looked liked splice this pin to that pin times 400 and we MAY have something that works. I prefer to be that customer that demands excellence especially when we are charged MOTEC prices...just sayin...

Yes. It would take GSpeed guys 20 mins to cover it in loom and make it look A+.

Motec running your C6 with the stock ecu on the shelf. That’s ground breaking. The 200 likes and 200 comments on FB would back up that theory.

Heres a prettier one for the ls2/3/7 C6 guys:

Let’s not focus on the best part- cracking all of the canbus bits and bytes to be able to do this, but rather the first ever harnesses that do their job, but lack in visual splendor to be covered by the fender.

Lol.

That latest picture makes me feel a bit more comfy with the idea. Getting much closer to "plug and play" there.

Every adapter harness is run on a cirrus high potential test rig to be sure the green wire goes to the slightly less green wire.

But no, they really are run on a test stand.

Could that MOTEC run a sequential trans and paddle shifters? That would be a hit with the hard core road guys...

Id like to know if it can handle a DCT retrofit OR if I wanted to swap in a A8 and run it off paddles.
