Like so many above, I have owned many, the last one I owned is pictured, sold it before I got the ZR1. Will not own another one, hardly ever rode it and simply know to many people killed on them.

Aint that the truth. Ive lost a few friends and been on a number of memorial rides due to either idiot people not looking for bikers or crazy things happening. I myself was in an accident back in 08, but I got another one a year later because I just love riding motorcycles, first thing I ever drove was a dirt bike when I was younger and from there it grew.

Have had 1 or 2 bikes since about 1970. I only rode about 10% of my normal mileage this year. Getting old and ‘soft’ I guess...when it is hot, cold, raining I prefer driving a climate controlled Vette. The idiot drivers worry me. I have decided I will give it 1 more year to decide but will probably sell mine and hang it up...reluctantly.

2 friends were killed while riding, but I still ride. I’ve been riding street bikes for 28 years. I don’t know, maybe it’s just a sickness. A few years ago I met a man at the Rock Store in Malibu who had just turned 75 and had bought a new Ducati, (one of many he has I guess) that’ll be me, if I’m lucky enough.

Wife says she thinks I have a problem. She is always right.
To you guys who gave up street or are discouraged. That KLR is the best bike to get out of your funk IF you live near dirt roads. I ride or trailer it to state forests in PA and ride the snowmobile roads into the wilderness. No traffic for days, ride your own speed stop when you want. Give it a try before you give it up. 58 years old, bought the vette at 50 thinking I would be over bike soon. Not gonna happen I guess but am going to automatic on next Vette.
