I have concluded that we all like bikes and age may be a factor that determines an appropriate time to ride less, same with driving. I am certain that I will know when I pose a threat to my fellow motorist and will leave the driving/texting to another generation. In addition to my Ducati I have a 1973 BMW R75 "Toaster Tank" and an XR 150 Honda dirt bike that I also enjoy. In my lifetime I have owned over 50 motorcycles, mostly dirt bikes. You don't have to race everywhere you go to enjoy this, that old BMW has drum brakes and a kick starter!!! You know what? I have a blast going slow on that old thing and feeling the nostalgic nuances that new bikes have eliminated. Like the thread starter I carefully choose my roads and time to ride and prefer a naked bike. The Honda is just a hoot but I tend to ride above my skill level and sometimes find myself scraped up. Old folks tend to heal slower I have discovered....

Cool looking bike. I see it's a MV Agusta. What model, motor size and HP? Love naked bikes. I started out with sport bikes, but as I got older I wanted more comfort and upright riding position, so switched to naked bike.

have had a few gen 1 zx-10r bikes, my absolute favorite to ride. I got HEAVY into track riding for several years and then got back into cars (vettes) mainly and still have a 10000mi 2005 zx10r

I've got matching 06 gsx-r1000s. 1 for the street and 1 for the track. Agree with most of the others here, street riding isn't much fun anymore. People pay no attention to bikes and Indiana roads are garbage.

Yeah I heard that. It was butter smooth the last time they did it. Got rid of the rumble strips between turn 1 n 2 so u could really carry some speed. Love that track! Love that zx-10 of urs too. Had an 05 for awhile
