Drove a 2016 C7 Z06 today.
The dealer I bought my C6Z from in June called and told me they had a C7 Z with 3k on it..just came in. Asked if I wanted to trade in the 08. I went and took a look. I drove the C7, it was an auto. I have to say it was fast, very fast. I would love to see how the C6Z would match up. The seats were way better than the C6. The C7 reminded me of my C3 with the high fenders and seating that felt closer to the door (not sure if that even makes sense). The C7 had very quick steering. Really nice Vette.
I decided I really liked my C6 Z better.

I honestly don't know how anyone that looks at these 2 cars side by side thinks that the C7Z looks better than the C6Z. Is the C7 a better car? Maybe. But in the looks department, the C7 is a total bomb.

You made the right choice. The C7 was a total flop. Exact copy of a Ferrari F12. https://forums.mightycarmods.com/for...ew-vette/page2 (For reference) Nothing original there.
The interior may be a bit sleeker or more comfy, but the C6 was the last pure corvette IMO. And with bolt-ons to the C6Z, the C7Z needs mods to keep up. You can't track them because of heat soak, etc, etc, etc...

Only thing I like about that C7Z are the wheels...I will eventually grab a set of those to replace my OE silver 18/19 spyders on my Blk '09 C6Z.

When you do, keep me in mind should you decide to sell the Spyders… Love em.. Especially the silver, Comp Gray...

I do like them both. That said, I chose a C6Z. I didn't like the C7 when it first came out, but have warmed up to it. I prefer the body color roof on a C7 than black roof on the white car in the original post.
Bottom line I like the simpler lines and the unique LS7 engine.

I have seen that every generation is an improvement over the one before. That being said optics are a personal choice. I like my C6 Z06. But it cant compare with the technology improvements of the C7. My interior is a joke compared to the C7. Lets not forget mine is one of the first ones built and they came a long way during its generation.

I love the exotic look of the C7Z and the fact of you can grab one with the A8.

I do wish my C6Z had the removable roof and my 2012 interior is OK, but dated.
Regardless, the NA LS7 is too addictive to consider moving to C7.
Now a ZL1 Camaro with 10 speed and line lock...

To answer your question about which is faster, I ran an automatic C7 Z06 from a 55 mph Roll at Pcocono Raceway this past weekend, he claimed 560 RWHP, mine is 553 HC/CAI and it was no contest, I jumped out from the start and walked him by at least two cars. It was a 1/3 mile run.

I never bought a car for the interior. On the other hand body style does it for me.
Looking at prices C6Z are doing well compared to C7Z.
