Default New short block, additions????

I'm swapping short blocks on my 2008 ZO6. Currently the mileage is 32,000. Putting a 454 in with Mamo top end. Already had Pat G spec me a cam. Got a Mantic 9000. Katech red pump. New Hinson motor mounts. ATI balancer. Looking for ideas of what would be good to replace or upgrade while the engine is out.

New Delco starter (relatively inexpensive) while its easy to get to.
Ceramic coat the LT's if you haven't already
Maybe time for a radiator upgrade (Dewitts, etc.) and perhaps one with IOC if it fits your use
Improved Racing oil cooler T-stat and lines kit if you still run an air cooled unit
New plugs and firecore plug wires just because.

Didn't think about starter, thanks.
Already have a Dewitts.
Will look into the oil cooler.
Knew there was more I was not considering. Thanks

Have Mamo TFS. Unless a great deal comes my way, I will be sticking with them for a while. Lobes Pat G spec'd for me are easy on the valve train

Default Crank scraper windage tray

Improved racing has them for aftermarket rods and they sent me plastic template to cut for rods and crank.

Crank scraper and windage tray, I understand the scraper will remove excess oil from the crank, reducing rotational weight. Is this upgrade going to net a few horse power? Any other benefits from this addition?

I think they said it nets like 5-8 hp. Our cars come with a windage tray but with the longer stroke and after market rods you can run into clearance issues and when you add spacers you may bottom out with the pan. Or the oil pan is so close to the bottom of the windage tray not much oil gets a little backed up.

The improved racing one has a wider v and does not require it to be spaced down as far as the windage tray.
