2013 Z06 Brake Caliper info
Guys,
I am building a C2 with a custom frame that uses C6 Z06 Brake calipers the J56 option. I am buying a set and need to confirm that they do use the same calipers as a 2012 right? Also 2013 has uses the brake caliper pad pins too, right? (I ask this because the Rock Auto website, where I am getting the parts, seems to represent the parts as only going up to 2012 - for those pins). I am getting some aftermarket rotors and pads, will I need anything else for the brakes? Specifically refering to an little clips or braketry for the brakes....let me know and thanks in advance.

All the big brakes that came out on the 2006 Z06 are the same through 2013, and the same as the 2010-13 Grand Sports. Try not to get the caliper pins with the hex in them, I believe they switched in 2009 or so to the torx star pattern and they are a lot easier to remove.

Guys, I did a search and found some info regarding the torque on the C6 Z06/GS calipers. Is it really 125 lb ft for those two big bolts that hold the calipers on (in Aluminum)? I mean I can understand that for the old C6 regular mount brackets...but going into the aluminum caliper that seems like a lot....also, does anyone use anti-seize on the caliper brake pad pins?

I'd recommend getting the factory GM rotors. they are durable and will last a long time. Price point isn't bad either. Don't rule out Amazon or Ebay either. That is where I get my brakes from for both my 07 Z06 and My current 12 GS.
On a side note I wasnt aware of the Allen and Torx difference. But you are correct sir. I just looked at old pics of both my cars and that is what they have.
