They are for sale already. They made sure they had some before release.

That being said, wouldn't surprise me if they sell out quickly and go on backorder.

It was just released at Sema this week.

The comp engineer posted great videos, test data, etc. Really shows all the work they put into items like this.
Can you post a link to the source for the video and data?

Direct from Billy@Comp, the engineer that designed them. All over his facebook, not sure if it is public, or if you have to be his friend.

Why does that not surprise me?

Will be interested to see if these would change equation with push rods and valve springs.

Wouldn't change push rods, and if anything, would allow a lighter valve spring since they have better control over the valves.

Default Pushrods

As long as they use same rocker arms and the mounting point circle or shaft is same diameter as stock should be the same or really close. Will be interesting to see but seems to be a proven design and could should have been done by factory.

Default Torque sequence

Should be interesting on how they handle this as some rockers will be at or near full lift. With the singles you wanted it at or close to zero load. This is a proven design with other cars but maybe because load is spread out not so much an issue.

Do you plan to use the pressurized oiling?

I may at some point, but not initially. I am pushing the lift limits of my stock rockers at .660" and I like that this setup gives me a little more room for lift and a more stable valve train. My OEM rockers have been fine, but this seems like a better setup for those of us that are at the upper whp limits of what the LS7 is capable of.

Unless they have changed the pad shape and rocking arc, I'm not drinking the .700" lift cool-aid.

Agreed. The only koolaid id buy is "high speed stability" due to less flex compared to a single bolt. However...I would like to see just how much the stock bolt even flexes. There is some for sure as the rocker mount surface shows signs of fretting:

Talk to Billy about it. He said excellent up to .650 and still really good up to .700. Not like many of us are running anywhere near that though.

Wow! To me it's one of those, "why didn't someone come up with this sooner?" type of products. Very cool.

Nice idea. Now if they get around to making their SPR radius tip rockers bodies for an LS7, and mate those to this shaft design...that would be an effective solution for the masses.

Based off Billys post, that is in the works. That is the next step up for the higher lift stuff.

As for why didn't someone do this earlier, that is exactly what he said after testing it. It isn't something new.

I'm not interested enough to give him a call. I stopped using Comp products several years ago.

Total lift for my latest iteration is .675".

How does the LS7 version mount? Is it a direct bolt on, or is machining of the pedestals still required? And no lash adjuster on these either.

Cool product, but clearly inferior to the Crower system. I wouldn't feel bad if I were you. I most certainly do not, and will still use the Crower system unless lifts are lower than .650.
