Default Replacing O2 sensors

I was getting my idle adjusted by my tuner and he mentioned that it looked like one of my O2 sensors went bad. My cats are removed and I have a pretty aggressive cam. Tuner stated he changes out his car's O2 sensors almost yearly because of time on track. I haven't had any codes so I'm wondering if he's just trying to get some money out of me. Anyone tracking there car change there O2 sensors often? I did notice a small amount of reduced performance my last track event but I thought it was just me.

I've changed my upstream O2 sensors 3 times since I have gone to my catless setup in 2016. They start giving "heater circuit" codes. They still give correct voltages for a while, but you can see the response begin to deteriorate. When it's completely dead you'll see the voltage flat line.

I have long tubes, off road mid pipe, and stock mufflers. No downstream O2 sensors. I paid 61$ shipped for my O2 sensor from Amazon prime (next day delivery). This is the part for a 2008 Z06:

O2 sensors won't reduce performance at WOT much. It's more to do with how part throttle behaves and how much fuel trim on each bank.

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

When I had TSP headers I went through 3 sets of O2 sensors in about a year.

I went to American Racing in the same size. Picked up 40-50 wtq from idle to 3,000rpms and 10whp after 6,000rpm.

I happen to have a set of 1-7/8" American Racing headers for sale. With catted x-pipe.

That's fine. I went from cat-less TSP headers to catted American racing and made more power and don't have to deal with burned o2 sensors
